I agree. Karen's Mandos aren't Mary Sues. I always thought her books were well received but apparently there are fans out there who hated them. I don't know why. Apparently op Jedi are fine but god forbid a none Force user be ultra competent.

Every now and then one sees these Traviss-hating weirdos in the wild, they usually get gently schooled and/or ignored while everyone else basks in the magnificence of these books. I guess they dont like people like Rav Bralor, a Mando woman so competent, so badass that Jango made her one of the Cuy'val Dar. Nah, sounds like a Mary Sue to me.

Mandos are the warrior equivalent of a Kirov prima ballerina: you know you will see something extraordinary when someone trains for something since childhood.

Mandos are interesting BECAUSE they give Jedi a challenge. Can't have that evidently. People are strange.

If Lucasfilm were smart (I know, oxymoron) they would have brought Travis on to consult on the Mando culture, but alas, they decided to start from scratch . That was a TCW lost opportunity. She delves so deep into it, you really start to understand WHY and HOW they could be a threat to the Jedi, and they are just regular people. Not some bigass xenomorphing style alien, or use yellow iguanas to negate force powers. They just put in the work and kick ass.

Is this common, a figure shipping at the same time in all zones with no blogger photos from HK? Already been charged from SS but just curious as to what we are getting with Fennec as the final product.

Its not common.

A bunch of weird **** is going on right now in this hobby, figures shipping months early, statues shipping months early. Blogger photos are very late. Everything is upside down.

Depending on who you ask, it would appear Sideshow told Hot Toys that they need to hold figures back until Sideshow gets their first batch to combat the HK resellers. For the past few months blogger photos are released same day as Sideshow first look and the first few figures are shipped around the same time.

HT seems to find a new talented sculptor. One minor gripe is (I was already suspicious about this) that the helmet can't be positioned on the head in a way that a narrow visor occurs.

I didn't want to do the throne pose but wow does that look awesome!
