Got him today. Don't have space for him at the moment but glad to have him and Wolverine. Quick snap before I put him back in the box.
I just have him standing over it, the grabber is pushed all the way down.

I expect it's going to be like the Batman and leave me liking the appearance of the plastic cape but wishing they included a cloth alternative, even if it isn't 100% correct for the style. Just having that bulky hunk of plastic hanging off their back makes the balance so awkward.
Assuming I bother unboxing them, I also don't really have space dedicated to these--wasn't even intending to pursue the line, but an animated series ended up being too irresistible.

I hope we at least get Gambit as they looked pretty far into his prototype and he’s the reason i bought the others.

The only hope is that Funko shuttered the poster division because Funko has no poster business, but they do have business in plastic figures, so perhaps they'll keep Mondo's toy lines live.
I wasn't even aware Mondo were a subsidiary of Funko. Had to go looking for the news, sounds like they only recently bought the studio.
To be fair, job cuts are pretty typical for most companies that are merged or purchased. Not to make light of the news, because cutting twenty jobs is still somebody's livelihood and their family. But matter-of-fact, you typically end up with redundancy so someone is going to get cut. It often isn't the creative component, but you're looking at administrative, HR and payroll, the positions that already exist with the greater corporation.
The article I'm seeing is a bit fuzzy on what it impacts. Funko may decide they want to pursue the toys line and sacrifice the other merch. I don't see why they would make cuts to the toys line, if they bought Mondo now then they know they've been establishing a niche in the toy market. If anything, it would seem like that would be a leading reason to buy the studio.
And from what I'm seeing, Mondo was sold because the previous ownership went bankrupt. So technically this is most likely _saving_ the toy line. If the studio wasn't purchased, they would be liquidated and it's all over.

Looks pretty cool. The Mondo card backs are corny, though. Not enough to dissuade me from buying, but it just comes off as really self-indulgent.
The shapeshifting head will probably end up being exclusive, but seeing as how the non-exclusive versions end up being the same price, it doesn't make sense to not buy the exclusive version.

This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Wonder who’s next… I’d be happy with Cyclops, Rogue or Storm.
