ngl, it feels owning an adam piece, its really all about the name more than anything else. ever since nancy stepped in to do joker sculpts, that gap has shrunken a LOT for desirable adam gus. she's made incredible sculpts and with yuan, and black being considered the top of doing jokers. adam gus aren't really that desirable when you can get something far cheaper and with really good result and quality.

however, I gotta find that inart joker picture you posted. i think the eye position there is perfect for what I was seeking. trying my hand at figuring out the eye position i want for my joker. i think some who did straight forward eyes makes him kinda lifeless to me

I can see what you’re paying for with the paint and hair work but I don’t like that expression at all. Looks kind of lobotomised. The clothing is by Topo Studios.
Can’t see anything there that’s much better than InArt other than the fact it doesn’t use a popper to close the vest.

So, all in all, I’m very happy to be getting the rooted deluxe InArt pair of figures, a huge diorama scene, a classy magnetic base, seamless arms and plenty of accessories for £400 cheaper than that custom.

The person selling that Joker likely has the InArt deluxe on PO -- decided two is better than one.
Ye no doubt- and yet still calls the custom ‘vastly superior to the InArt version’ in the description.

In a post InArt world, the custom market may actually shrink a bit. The difference between Hot Toys and customs is pretty noticeable but now there’s a more affordable middle ground with InArt and it could be cheaper to just get a custom paint and root job on InArts heads if you want it to look it’s absolute best.

I expect once you’ve delved into customs, that feeing of owning an actual artists work and the obvious attention to detail, rarity and quality of paint and hair work, it’ll be hard to appreciate even the most excellent factory produced pieces.

Will never go for that amount; especially with the amount of InArt Joker sculpts which are gonna hit, then all the knock offs after that. I don't blame the seller for chancing it though.

It looks confused asking the owner why he's getting sold and replaced for a Jokor.

Nah I'd say it's pretty comparable and wouldn't even say it's SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Root job and overall sculpt quality is pretty close to one another when compared. I quite honestly don't even see that big of a difference in paintjob quality and Inarts sculpt is one that is mass produced in some factory in China while Adam Gu's sculpt is a custom painted one.

The only thing that really separates that sculpt (and a lot of these custom sculpts) from Inart's is the teeth and the better done eyes. Although I feel the likeness on that Adam sculpt is a bit weak with the eyes there but the quality of the eye area is very nicely done.

Does Adam's sculpt really look $8000+ better? Sorry but no it doesn't to me. I agree with what ScoobyDoo said on the previous page where a lot of these customs are actually quite comparable to Inart's, with some even looking worse. Which is a testament to Inart more than anything considering the price of what we're paying compared to a single sculpt. You're comparing custom hand painted small quantity sculpts to one that a company mass produced in quantities of thousands and STILL made them comparable in quality to customs. You sort of reach the area of diminishing returns there for some. Saying they're not comparable isn't quite right.

If you had told me to choose between this smiling adam gu sculpt and the inart one without knowing which was which I think I would choose Inarts

That one is by yuan? It doesnt look as good as the ones Ive seen.. does his quality not match what he advertises? Anyway I would choose the Inart over this for the price. Is the whole figure included for £1200 or only the body?

Sculpt paint also seems to be defective on the left side too. And that hair has definitely been messed with (in a bad way lol) looks rough

He’s got an expression that reminds me of my mate’s 6 year old son who’s confused by everything.
