The trooper is nice and will no doubt sell multiples. I have two sideshow ones and can’t see me trading up
r2 I have and c3po is not inte in that colour scheme.
the droid again looks great but not for me
the only one I could see myself buying is the pilot and I can’t see that selling out to quickly

Some people are expecting way too much. Realistically we get like 2 figures up for PO at most this week.

boring figures, with no human likenesses, so that they can come out with only a slight delay.

Also, funny how they point out that the Clone Trooper comes with the Phase 2 helmet from ROTS, except for the fact that there are no plain white clone troopers in that movie.

True, though they do work for anyone who is into the Bad Batch.

That’s the only figure which I’d be interested in. I do already have Rex and a 501st but lost interest in them and was thinking about selling them to concentrate on the OT Troopers.

That said the P1 does look much better this time round at least from the photos. I may consider picking him up and keeping the 501st figure as a lineage of the Stormtrooper collection.

For what it's worth, they really didn't do anything special. 3PO is new and exciting but other than that it's just a bunch of reused stuff. Would have been a bad take if Windu, Padme, Kit Fisto, or whoever else made it up.

It’s crazy but I will probably end up ordering each one from today. Definitely C3po and the pilot. The rest we will see what else gets announced in the next 2 years. I still have the shiny sideshow clone and the sideshow geo battle droids. I do like the rots helmet even though there was never a plain white phase 2 in the movie. I really need to rethink my collection. I have way too many preorders as it is and now they are piling up. I’ve already decided against 90% of the mandalorian series. I’m only getting mandalorian Luke and Kuiil as far as what has been announced. I need to find a sugar mama.

It's not even that - Hot Toys is getting lazy as they raise prices. How hard would it have been to put up that Windu for pre-order today, or to break out that Padme that they teased forever ago? They keep putting up sub-par sculpts and saying they're not final lately, so what's stopping them from just getting stuff up people want?

Very tired of seeing Hot Toys prioritize Marvel while Star Wars takes a back seat and just gets a bunch of reused parts. Really can't be that hard to make a sculpt for Windu or Piett when those outfits are very simple to make, or Wolffe/Fives when they just need to tweak a sculpt and keep using reused parts. They're just lazy now and it's getting ridiculous to justify the prices and wait for lazy.

Lol…Marvel fans are just complainers though. There was a post on a thread here today showing how heavily skewed it is towards Marvel over the last year. If not for the Mando surge it wouldn’t be close.

Oh I'm with ya there, for sure, I think were all in the same boat for that, and this is coming from a big clone fan lol. I know the clones are coming, but we've been waiting for big players like Padme/Windu for years, since they announced ROTS Anakin 5? 6? years ago. I'm trying to remain optimistic and having Padme mentioned in R2's bio and Mace previewed with the Geonosis Battle Droid, maybe we'll get lucky at Celebration.

Marvel has had it good over the years, they have some holes here and there, such as Mantis, but most of the time they get their figures.

Were over here waiting for the mother of Luke and Leia lol.

I’m very happy we saw these figures up for pre-order. Some minor nitpicks but overall, excellent releases. C-3PO will look great with three b. droid buddies! I’m sure Windu isn’t too far away too. How unexpected wasn’t the pilot, also the inclusion of a CW helmet? Really nice.

The clone wars has begun. I believe we’ll see a few trooper variants, probably a commander as a toyfair exclusive, maybe a captain or sergeant. Battle droid commander is a given, they’re even including the commander antenna in the bd single release. Then a few security bd’s, followed by a blue pilot. Many future possibilities! What we need now is a 1:6 droideka or magna guard.
