How much is TW asking this time? :lol

100% justified. Odds are they didn’t sell as many as they thought they would so they reopened it. They should have left it open for a week with a disclaimer that it could possibly reopen if sales weren’t met.

I’m giving them a pass though as this is their first time in the 1/6 market.

I think QS just needs to come out right and call out/point out the real reason why they did this.

Like Kit said earlier, its most likely because of TW being a non-affiliate yet still acting as a retailer for the collectibles.

As mentioned already, QS probably found out which retailer ordered from them and saw TW.

QS voided the orders and now have available slots.

This is what I think happened too.
They are new to the 1/6 market and it was a sudden announcement, so most likely not all the HT collectors caught it to convert in time to the new Joker religion. lol

Check out this Chatter that Mattes about the Queen Studios Collectibles 1/6 Joker Deluxe figure. Is it justified?

I don’t like to talk trash about my fellow YTers or contemporaries...but after seeing that video...

I...wah...huh?!?

I DON’T SEE HOW ANY OF THIS IS UNETHICAL??

did I miss the memo somewhere? I’m seriously trying to connect some dots and wrap my head around that mentality. Like...WHO IS BEING HURT HERE??? Who stands to “lose” here?? WHAT EXACTLY IS AT STAKE??

“Pressure to order it”??? People who were going to get this had ample time. QS announced a PO DATE. Customers had a full 3 days to put in a PO. Which is ALL the time in the world especially for someone that’s never experienced what it’s like to PO Macross Toys. I WOULD KILL for a PO date announcement and I WOULD KILL for a 3 day window for Macross POs!

So if you were going to get one, YOU WERE GOING TO GET ONE. A “SECOND CHANCE” opportunity should have no affect on it. What difference does an extra week do? If you can’t even afford an $80-$100 NRD...my dude, maybe you shouldn’t be getting a figure that costs $1000 in the first place!

And refunding NRDs? Why? If you snagged a PO, that means you were committed to getting it. Once again, HOW DOES A “SECOND CHANCE” affect YOUR commitment?

Damn, it’s like butt hurt people like him are trying to blow up some nonsensical BS drama for no reason other than to cover up their selfish entitled nature. He’s trying to sound like he’s “looking out” for those that “felt pressured” to POing a 1K TOY. My dude, what about those that DIDNT HAVE FUNDS THEN but DO NOW? They don’t deserve a chance to PO joker??

Holy high hell man...

I apologize for being this triggered. But selfish behavior like that just gets to me real bad.

“Being lied to blah blah blah....”

GTFO here with that $#!t...

I have absolutely no problem with this situation. But the only point that I do see is being lied to -- that Queen said 3 days only. I can see some people feeling pressured, making a commitment, and now realizing they had more time to cool off.

I don't think I've ever seen a "limited time" window reopen quite so quickly.

But I don't think its unethical, or that people should get their NRD back, or that somehow this taints the Joker figure. All it does is make me question the next time Queen says "three day window". I might not believe them.

Sideshow "lied" when they said they would never reissue.

Hot Toys "lied" when they said they would never reissue.

Everyone lies given long enough. Queen just did it first thing.

3 day window or not, im just glad i was able to place my order in. i would've gotten it either way. i can understand how some people can get angry in this situation. some people might just be thinking more in the long time $$$ value rather than the enjoyment of the figure. i just hope with new orders, it doesn't diminish the quality in the final product

If you looked at the thread on FB on the OneSixthKit group that this guy is kicking up a fuss in, you will realized he is just throwing a fit for nothing. Many asked him straight up if he is actually asking to cancel his order or what, he NEVER confirmed anything, but just biting on the fact that he has been lied to, and Kit should refund the NRD. To me, and NRD is an NRD, you commit to buy the figure, with that retailer, and you made the decision to do so and knowingly paid a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. That is what you commit to. And the fact that the figure is available again for more pre-orders later has nothing to do with your commitment to buy. And the way he harassed Kit is baffling, as if Kit is the one that decides to open up orders again (he even at one point said Kit could have chosen to not open the pre-ordering again, which is very entitled of him to say - 1. Kit should not keep his business going, 2. no one else should be offered a second chance to buy this. It is BS.

Transformers Masterpiece MP44 Optimus prime had no PO window. What it did have was “PO limit reached”...just like many other toys.

And what do we still see?

“Oh man it’s sold out! I waited too long!”

Gametoys advent children Cloud Strife and fenrir...once again, no PO window from most vendors (except for Kit, he had a lengthy cut off date)...and what do I see?

“Does anyone know where I can PO this? It’s sold out everywhere!”

My point is, all of the time in the world is never enough. You have 3rd party releases that LITERALLY offer 3rd and even 4th chances...and you STILL find people missing out due to lack of funds or some other reason.

It’s fine if you don’t believe the next 3 day PO window...if I’m committed to getting the figure, why shouldn’t I PO it right away? 3 day PO window now with a 2nd 3 day PO window 2 weeks later makes no difference ultimately. I honestly think a move like that only hurts the pride of those that only seek monetary value in a toy.

Does it really matter if QS gives a reason for opening POs again? I don't see the point that Jon guy is trying to make. As for the NRD, if you have the means to put the NRD down and you wanted the figure, why does it matter if you did it in the past or will do it now? You're still putting the money down to secure one.

I don't think it would matter if QS reopened the PO on short time or some other time in the future. People will still get pissed about it.

As far as getting pressured by the time frame, I feel those that were ambivalent during the 3 day window will still be ambivalent throughout a month's time of preorder.

I think higher quantity can definitely dilute quality. Especially if there’s a deadline. Good thing is though they’re most likely staffed for a certain output amount. The preorder reopening most likely means they weren’t close to that output quantity and to justify the staffing they reopened to get more orders. Like Wor-Gar said, this is their first figure. There’s a lot riding on this one.

Couldnt have said it better myself. The dude in the video is a joke... Some man-child crying because he can't retire from his multiple orders. Kid collectors these days....ruining the hobby for everyone.

It’s so cringe when people behave that way...

I mean...does being the owner of a “rare” toy give some kind of satisfaction? Like...do these people think they’re a part of some elite group? And that it grants them access to Jeffery Epstein’s island or something??

Just...what’s wrong with these people??

People getting bent out of shape about exclusivity and numbered runs and hoping there are no reissues so they can feel they own something prestigious need a reality check.

I’ve been thinking about this idea of Hot Toys being “high end” a lot lately and when you realize most of them aren’t even worth as much as a bottle of Macallan even the best collections start to feel quaint…

People are acting like they’re POing Rembrandts.
