Holy crap the cgi character motion is abysmal new Power Rangers looks better lol

The voices are uninspiring.

I had to shut it off when he picked up the mini gun it’s really really really bad.

Not sticking to the lore is the least of this shows problems I can’t even get past the superficial layer.

Not enough time in the day to waste watching this.

Would you believe it was $10mil per episode?

Sorry $10 per episode.

:lol

You will rub your eyes thinking there is something wrong with your brain when you see them walk, run and jump.

The jumping…oh god…the jumping yikes.

The videogame cut scenes blow this away.
Go to right before he picks up the mini gun and throws his rifle on the ground. It’s a CGI rifle and it looks like a PS2 cutscene lol.

Coulda just put a rifle prop on the ground?? Probably cheaper?? And quicker??

Anyone watched the first episode yet? I’ll be waiting until the whole series is out before I sail the seven seas, since the UK apparently isn’t worthy of the greatness that is Paramount+.

It's hard to judge shows just from the pilot episodes. Pilots are structurally designed to set up the blue print of the series.

However it's not hard to see the influences of The Mandalorian here. It's edging into The Mandalorian: The Mulan Edition kind of storytelling.

Stoic guy who is a straight up beast in killing and fighting who has a poor grasp of human emotions and refuses to take off his helmet and has unstoppable armor, who has to raise an orphan and runs around on a ship.

I can see the Covenant being an extremely difficult enemy/antagonist to create, establish and make credible in a live action series.

Well, it's here, let's give the first full season a chance. We see the diversity/family angst check boxes get ticked so we can see how woke this might get down the road.

The heavy lifts from Mando are pretty glaring. Next episode, Master Chief might need to get some Beskar armor made.

Omg, this is what I'm talking about EASY AF things to do like this are done in garbage CGI I've honestly never watched something where the CGI was so inconstant major headache. The only thing I really liked is the actual Armor they look pretty believable and well made but, then they keep going back in forth from PS2 CGI armor to the real armor.

spoilers I guess .
Heard this show was terrible and they even show master chiefs face which is a huge sin in my book.

I don’t think the things you listed are really lifted from Mando, since Halo had pretty much all of those elements way before the Mando was even in production. Halo 1 has you escaping with sidekick Cortana to keep her safe.

Sure it was in games/comics/novels but those elements were already pre-existing.

Sounds like the least of the show’s problems.

Though as only a casual Halo fan, they really made some baffling choices. I think it’ll be very divisive, and it didn’t need to be.

To poke this bear, it’s like Man of Steel. I would be less upset with a subversive, different take on the source material if I wasn’t still waiting for the source material to truly be done justice first.

This gets funnier and funnier. She’s holding an unfinished wooden prop in the 3rd shot :lol

This is most definitely not money laundering!

You know what would be cool?

A Dead Space series.
Yeah, ok. But how about it's 30 episodes per game, spread across 3 seasons (although it'll be cancelled 1 season in), Isaac's now not alone but has a trusty foul-mouthed teenage female sidekick, and there's a random subplot about Nicole... doing... things... somewhere, and they account for 70% of the running time? Oh, and it'll be filmed in a parking lot somewhere and the suit will be made by some executive's sister's husband's nephew's kid brother's 3D printer.

YOU JUST GOT HOLLYWOODED!

Don't forget they will ruin the markers and their lovecraftian origins by having humans behind the whole thing!

Yeah they have already prebutchered Quantum Leap before it gets rebooted so Hollywood can do one at the moment.
They won't rest until they've butchered everything, then move onto... Uh... Well, they can always remake the remade reboots...

Lovecraftian = Tentacles, so they'll just drop a Cthulhu in there and call it a day.
