Yeah, right.

No guarantee or justification the figures are "high end".

Only highly hyped and highly overpriced.

I don't know this offhand, but why don't someone invite Nick to join Collector Freaks?

Heck, maybe he'll pony up the $ to join as a CF vendor sponsor?

Maybe he'll feel entitled to demand he be added as a honorary CF vendor sponsor for free with a lifetime CF premium membership for free?

Why he can spew his promotional buffoonery within CF, argue online with anyone questioning his posts, and demand the CF admins/mods to cancel/remove anyone critical of him because CF is benefitting from his association and his connection to Stallone?

The preceding is not hyperbole or sarcasm because it could very well happen/already under consideration. We've seen such occur before within the group before the name change and also after depending on the brand/manufacturer and vendor.

Again, it's about the $. However, in Nick's case it's about his ego along with the $.

Not me.

Just further validation of how some aspects of the 1:6 hobby is worsening for collectors.

Then again, it's not "our problem" is it? We choose to buy whatever we want with our $ however much it's overhyped, overpriced, and sucks? Why some end up butt hurt because they choose to reward/support buffoonery antics of a brand/manufacturer along with poor quality and it's their right to do so?

I really don't know but, after my last experiences with certain figures that I've recently received, I think I will stop preordering and start buying only once I have seen the real product, or cancelling preorders if the real figure is bad. And yeah, I don't care if it runs out or goes up in price: it's just a matter of dignity and not feeling cheated.

Well, well - I'm 100% in, but colour me a tiny bit disappointed HIYA is moving to 1:12 scale and not sticking with cool little 1:18 figs :(

But but but WHY 1/12 if they continue with their Robocop series in 1/18 scale... Will they abandon this scale definitively or what? Well, I'm still interested in this line anyway.

SAME - I absolutely LOVE 1:18... this is a letdown. Still a purchase - with hopes for the full series - but I'm with you 100%.

Yeah, as you said the other day, it's one of the news that has excited me the most about the hobby in recent times, although I did not expect the scale change. And I think it's a general feeling, because I've already seen some disappointed reactions in the comments to their Facebook post. But now it's time to wait and see how they work on this new thing, because its price will be much higher, but also the demand for details. I'm also surprised that they chose this franchise to start a new line, when NECA abandoned it at the time citing poor sales/lack of interest from collectors.

nick will go on a rampage only he can produce rambo figures! in the meantime he made the pots to cook Rocky's pancakes for only $ 40! 🤣🤣🤣
Yo I've just checked and this is REAL :eek::eek: "Welcome to the SlyStalloneShop, house of pancakes & action figures".

1:12?!

Oh, yeah!

The 1:12 Rambo figures can now kill all of my 1:12 GI JOE CLASSIFIED figures without breaking a sweat.

I hope Nick is nowhere involved/near with HIYA.

Maybe HIYA will make a 1:12 "Nick" figure so all of us can relive our childhood such as dousing it with lighter fluid and lighting it up like we did with 1:18 and other scale figures in the backyard.

;) :p

Great.

I'll never look at or eat pancakes again because they've been "Nick-ed".

Just imagine that slystallone shop is present toys or dark toys or premier toys take your pick.
Saying that have seen some nice punisher heads from present toys being teased, luckily for my wallet, I have no interest in the character. And dark toys are doing nice products, same with premier toys mad max despite the undersized head.
Anyway, whats my point... oh yeah.
If they just put up a few images of the actual figure, not a proto with hand painted head, hand tailored outfit, a little artistic license
( nice lighting, good angles maybe a little touch of photoshop) would have been excusable.
The fact is what they originally showed and subsequently showed do not match by a long chalk. This is the problem
Expectation and Reality.
I can fool myself into thinking it will be as good as promised why shouldnt I, its endorsed by sly whose not gunna steer me wrong surely?
You need to see some of the rubbish endorsed by sly.
For example
You might think thats not too bad but the actual item is massive compared to the film used one.
A guy wanted to send me his for a laugh but I said no, as some were selling for 42 pounds, some as little as a tenner, but still.
People will buy anything and more importantly sly will endorse anything.
Its buisness gotta keep pushing the merch, keep the brand relevant.
Quality is bad though, dont matter keep pushing forward thats how winning is done.
Someone make a meme or gif take your pick, its got so silly now I've got to take a break but am glad people are giving nick some grief in the instagram comments.
It was and still is mostly a love fest praising stallone, never got that. Very unlikely he would be sitting there reading any of the comments.
Again got nothing against nick don't know him, don't wish to know anymore about him. Just hope they listin to the target audience as already said that will buy the figures, once they can SHOW better in hand head/figure and will guarantee is exactly what you're getting.

I agree, but I doubt they're genuinely listening/reading. That's the bottom line.

To put it as NFL analogy, the Jacksonville Jaguars is a dismal and lousy team with a promising first pick rookie from the draft. The team hedged its bet on Urban Meyer that turned out to be an expensive joke. The team also have a doofus of a front office manager that many regard as a doofus and doesn't want to work with because he is a major part of the problem (asides from a moron of an owner for the team).

As I stated previously, with all the technical production issues that could very well be obvious and supposed indirect (or maybe direct) subterfuge of KP's hands on involvement (or not), the major problem is Nick plain and simple. With Nick out of the picture and more credible and respected "face" representing the shop and some much needed common sense from a collector POV being applied along with business common sense applicable to the figures . . . perhaps things can turnaround, but we know it's not going to happen.

I want to buy the Stallone Cobra figure, but given the buffoonery witnessed. No. I'm not going to shell out that much $ regardless of the figure's design and supposed production pedigree.

If I and others are unequivocally proven wrong in the end, then so be it.

For all we know if the production factory is told to copy the design from the cover of the Nintendo Entertainment System game, I wonder if the final production figure would have red pants instead of black as in the game itself courtesy of Nick?
