The pants won't close, it's like they tailored them to the old body.. Then switched to the Dante body and didn't account for the extra width.

Henrietta is the worst part of this set for me, it's in desperate need of a repaint, the skin tone is flat and looks like a rush job.

The base is pretty nice, it's super heavy.
I noticed a few folk being concerned about the boots, they don't look out of proportion but could do with being weathered up a bit.
The deadite Ash head is.. Okay.. Again would benefit from a repaint, same with the severed hand.

Long story short, alot of this could really benefit from a repaint.
It's not horrendous (apart from henrietta) but It's not as bad in hand as I expected it to be from the photos floating about.

If anyone wants close up shots of accessories etc I'll see what I can do.
Is your Henrietta bald?

First, thank you for the quick pics. It does not look that bad.

Second, I guess the thing with the pants will be dremeling down the waist or directly changing to another body or pants.

Just opened this guy up and had a quick set up, not had a chance to have a proper look at all the accessories etc.
Tried to get some decent photos in natural light.

It's really not as bad as I was expecting, henrietta sucks and the seamless arms are super crap but apart from that.. I'm fairly happy with it.

I'll have a proper look at everything later.
Pic 9... all I can see now is Jay Leno.
Also, that head looks HUGE on that body.

At this rate I would totally jump on board if someone were to organize a new custom Ash thread on Customonesixth. I know there was that Betomatali one ages ago, but seeing what people are capable of now in terms of tailoring and 3D sculpting, they could probably come up with something even better today. Because this is another character like Indy that I just don't think a licensed company is ever going to do justice to.

Totally agree on this one. A custom run would be awesome, even just for a shirt and the pants. Would enhance the Sideshow/Asmus versions a great deal, although obviously for many there is still the issue of the sculpts.

Thanks for the detailed answer! :)

I think for what's need to be done, the pricing is too high. Also the problem with pants won't close at the zipper should be avoided by better planning and coordination at the planning stage. There's supposed to be no such issue on a luxury edition of a licensed product. Even third party figures fitting are better.
I agree the base look nice though, and it's good that you think you can fix overall issue with repaints.

As for henrietta, you should take asmus' statement about the pics of the "actual product of henrietta", and ask for a proper replacement.

Does the deadite head fits the neck properly or you need to cut off some of the neck peg/connector?

My biggest issue is the body, and not just the scratches. I can paint those. Those arms are bad - both sets. If I switch the body out the skin tone has to match and that would call for a repaint. I can do a lot but thats one skill that outside my abilities. And it would be expensive. I don't know why they didn't just use a decent jointed muscle body similar looking to the Hot Toys joints instead of these more old school ugly looking joints. Those are fine if the figure is covered by clothes. Newer bodies have made the joints look much more aesthetically pleasing. No need for switch out arms at all. I know a lot of those rubber arm sleeves can look warped when bent but these look particularly egregious.

I am curious just how many people canceled. Regardless, I reckon Asmus won't do anything else outside of hairing Henrietta.

I agree with you.
I myself have no figure painting skills, so if I get the luxury version, $350 is not the end of the cost.. there will be extra painting cost, and it will make this a very very expensive figure.

Good news everyone!!!

Asmus just released a photo of their official upgrade kit, which promises to resolve all QC

I have 2 sets. However if I get stuck with them I'll likely just sell a set or break it down and sell for parts.

Plan on working on the other think it has potential.
Hi friend. Do you plan to sell linda head?

Same here, I went for the standard version - but honestly out of the box he's quite good. A little bit of work here and there and he'll be pretty good when done. Good likeness too. Give it a chance peeps.

Wow, even Ash is trying to keep that cellar door firmly closed on that awful Henrietta, haha.

Asmus finally responded to my firm request of cancellation and deposit refund:

'May be you could wait for another week or two for some in depth review before you decide to cancel?'

I have replied and stated that there are more than enough images online to show that the product does not meet expectations.

I appreciate that they are under pressure, but I'd rather they simply honour my cancellation request and refund my deposit, rather than try to convince me that this is going to suddenly appear better to me in a video review.

It's a great likeness to French-Canadian Actor Roy Dupuis! (y)

Asmus have been dead silent since the henrietta statement not had any updates on my shipment.
I am wondering about that as well.
It's weird that they stopped responding here to answer members questions, because I see that @AD Artwork is active today.

Ah yes! you're right! it's the guy from La Femme Nikita!!

Here's some more pics..

I can't stress enough how bad the arms are.

This is also as much as I can get the pants closed, there is zero give, they're not gonna get any more closed than that.

The deadite head does also come with a useless connector inside it, as someone else posted, which is gonna have to come out in order to fit the body.

Do Ash's irises appear properly aligned, or does he seem somewhat cockeyed?

I wouldn't say he was so much cockeyed.. More that one eye is looking forward and the other is looking up 😂
