Shredder takes the word teenage out of the Ninja Turtles
I like the classics line actually. Individually the figures are pretty good. That shredder is just awful though. I'm glad they never released him before. I'm still on the hunt for the party wagon though. I don't know of anyone either who has seen it in my part of the area. It's like the disguise set all over again.
All my walmarts are tracking to get them over the weekend, go before they close and right when walmart opens, I’ve seen the scalpers work their magic around those times hunting for toys.
So far my walmarts around me have been stocking up the first 2 sets, Mike vs Bebop, Leo vs Rockstd, it’s the pattern I’ve seen In the stores that have the labels for them up.
The actual carded turtles are set to arrive 8/29 but i met with actual stockers in the morning who were willing to tell me that they are getting them on the truck on 8/28.
The Kicker in the gut is that my friend originally told they were getting 2 party wagons per store, now he says there’s only 1 on the truck and it’s been consistent with the other stores inventories, so be on the lookout for that only 1.
I’ve been following this like a hawk and to be honest I’m not paying scalping prices either, the cheapest so far is 100usd, i want to pay retail for this but i’m bummed out knowing that only 1 store is getting only 1.
So whenever I take my kids to school in the morning I rush to the walmarts to see what they are doing but I’m anxious and depressed of getting left out and missing out.
I have a friend who works at one store and lives on the other side of town but he can’t guarantee me one since he doesn’t any night stockers that actually unload the trucks.
FYI Walmart got rid of some store department managers and they were usually the ones posting the stock information to brickseek so just be careful, you need to have eyes and ears and physically inspect them in store since they are literally just randomly pulling out boxes throughout the day.
so the party wagon is supposed to arrive this weekend while the carded turtles supposed to arrive on Monday but verify with the store and see. I’ve been lucky with the g1 transformers retro, hot wheels, gi joe retro and lego but TMNT fans are a whole breed of scalping.
I’m highly doubtful I will get one but with that said I am on the hunt if I start seeing them pop up luckily so far also there have been no sales of that product so that’s a good sign(good walmart employees can you give intimate details about their store inventory), not to Mention this release was already delayed about a week. This is all in Texas maybe yours works differently but I’m hunting overtime for this, once I know they are getting put on the shelves i will literally drive to all 20 walmarts within a 15 mile radius throughout the day until I get lucky, if at all.
It’s like the TMNT Neca Walmart exclusive BS all over again because not all walmarts will seem to carry them, i might be wrong but still I noticed only the supercenters have the TMNT retro labels and not the other ones, with that said some employee might just put them wherever in a shelf, I have seen some g1 transformers packed in off the wall places.
