VERY MAD!!!
mine arrived, but they sent it to an old address in NYC i haven't lived at for a year now?
Fat chance i'll ever see it as the post actually delivered it.
Then Asmus has the nerve to send me a new invoice for another one I did not order....
I fear they have done the same thing with both elves as well-
even though the last 3 figures were all sent to my current correct address that is on file, and has been,
at both asmus and paypal.
Beginning to question continuing my support of Asmus...

Can you contact people who live by that address? Maybe there is a chance to get it back to you.

Luckily someone I know who still lives in the building called to tell me he found it sitting on the floor in the lobby, and he picked it up...
But time is money to someone in nyc so it will cost me for his time to wait at the post to reship it, and the box is big so it will cost me again to pay the shipping charges to send it to me.
I think Asmus should give me a credit for all the money im about to have to shell out to fix their mistake :gah:

Galadriel arrived in Minas Miami and she has brought hope back into the line, with her beauty.

I haven't had time to futz with her hair or pose but first impressions are super-positive.

She truly is a beauty and the exclusive with the fountain is a must-have!

I haven't taken the robe out yet but it looks very nice.

Here is one of my usual crappy quick pics with the figure simply removed from the box and put on the stand. The fountain looks great and the bowl with the water looks fantastic. No posts to deal with here... I'm really happy with this release.

I did figure out one quick hack to make her look a smidge more dignified in my display ...

Because the figure is relatively light weight ... using the "crotch-grabber" stand that she comes with kind of forces her feet apart. It gives her a rather un-Galadriel-like wide and aggressive stance. But if you slip one of her legs through the middle of grabber part, it's very easy to pose her with her feet close together. And she's just as stable. I think it makes a world of difference.

Finally good close up sculpt pics. I think the face looks great. Brows look good too.

Yeah I do something similar with all my Leia figures, and use armature wire to hook onto her belt in back so I'm free to put her in much more natural and feminine standing poses.

Fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing. I just followed your instructions and she does look more graceful.

That?s what I did for Arwen. So she has her legs together.

Asmus came through for me an offered to send another lady to the right address!
Now that's how you do customer service:wink1:
Since I found the original shipped one I declined, but asked for a shipping credit on my next purchase.

That is great news. Glad to hear that they came through for you. Hopefully you get the redirected one soon.

Hope she arrives soon. Glad they acted properly and great respect to you for not using the situation to get another figure!

I would love to see more pics for your LOTR collection FlyandFight!

Is anyone going to pose her with her cloak? It?s beautiful material, but I?m not sure. It?s tough finding a pose for her.

The cloak has a lovely silky feel and sheen and will probably drape very naturally as it has some weight to it. But I won't be using it for display as I prefer the texture and look of her dress. Also, I'm not crazy about the silver design printed on it. I don't know what it is, but it just feels to me like one of those robes a boxer wears when they enter the ring. It just looks too modern to my eye. Your mileage, of course, may vary.
