It's such a bizarre movie, Godzilla shoots a hole to the center of the earth and some people are like "Pretty much what you'd expect..."

It’s all good the villain organization built a super advanced hyper sonic 700mph hyper loop tunnel from the US to China all in secrecy no one knew what all of that massive drilling equipment was for.
But the movie didn’t cut away from the destruction so it’s all good just roll with it lol

Yep, if you watched any of the previous 30 films or so ......then it is right on track.
I think the problem here is people seemed to think this series was going to be serious or something????
You know , a thought provoking, deep plot , involving a radioactive lizard and giant moinkee fighting.

I fully don’t fully subscribe to that scenario because I feel that a $350 million dollar Hollywood movie should try to elevate the source material and not just throw everything to the wind and go 100% cheese because if that’s the case then ZSJL should have been just like Super Friends!

I guess I see G14 and then GvK as being a bit of a parallel to original Gojira and 1962 KK vs. G where the series started out serious and somewhat "realistic" and devolved into fun absurdity. Who knows, maybe another viewing or two will make me realize that the destruction is all pretty empty and not worth revisiting but I did have a fun time watching it with my kids in IMAX.

That is what is bugging me Khev the fact that their extended battle didn’t move my enthusiasm needle it didn’t make me forget about the bad stuff all the destruction left me feeling empty like they were just going thru the motions.

There is no cure for that.... except a genuinely good movie.
There is a weaker strain called just DiFabio.... which allows feelz-gud from things like Batman Forever. Perhaps you have that?

Perhaps liking the ST sucked all fun and joy out of your body. I know jaws enjoyed the movie but he doesn?t like the ST on the same level you do. In liking the ST you sold your soul and can?t like entertainment anymore
