That custom refocuser looks really good.

It's too bad it didn't actually do anything useful in the movie.

Yeah, all that firepower and it did nothing but a cool accessory nonetheless. Would be even cooler if it lit up lol
A lot of people are saying this is better in hand but I'm not sure. I was rewatching endgame and I still can't understand how HT released something as inaccurate and subpar as this :( 20210201_162832.jpg20210201_162549.jpg132481266_10157703413917344_8625483180816069830_o.jpg20210201_164323.jpg

Yeah, you're right. Terrible headsculpt aside, looks like they forgot about his traps...non-existent!

Has anyone checked in with Sideshow about how they’ll handle the head sculpt replacements? Do we have to contact Hot Toys ourselves? How will it work etc...

Ooof. On the basis of those reference shots I've re-lowered the shoulders on mine to restore the traps. Problem is you lose that smooth transition from the traps into the shoulders. And you can't really reposition the shoulder armour in a way it would need to be. Also looks like a part of the shoulder armour is red that should be silver.

I would assume since they?re the only official distributor in NA and Europe, they?re gonna have a special program in place where you can sign up for the replacement and you just send the original head back. But since it?s sideshow they?ll probably make you pay for shipping both ways

I've been on and off about getting my first Iron Man. First thinking about mk 47, the mk 7, then midas. But ultimately picked apart each of them in my head and decided not to get into Marvel after all. But seeing this recently, and now especially this shot, I believe this will be my one Iron Man.

I love this figure and this Headsculpt !

What I dislike about Mk 85 is too small helmet. Especially around the mouth, it is too narrow. Not a chance I would believe a 1/6 head can squeeze in. I mean, it is a rare case helmet that actually looks like there could be a head, but this is too obvious.

If you pose it in an action stance with the arms up, it gives the illusion of it having bigger traps. As far as the silver part on the shoulder, the movie itself seems to be inconsistent also. When Hulk was about to do the snap and IM started suiting up, that part is red. On the final battle, it's silver and seems to be a lot of the upper shoulder area ended up silver as well. For this, I'd point at Marvel rather than Hot Toys.

You're right, the shape of the helmet's way off. It's too slender, bulbous at the top and too tapered towards the chin at the bottom. WTF happened to this???

I don't think it's quite as tapered as it looks in some of these pictures. In most of them the red of the jawline tends to disappear into the background red of the neck, and as a result our focus is only on the gold of the faceplate & mouth. But it does seem like the cheeks are a bit too concave.

Here's a screen grab from Jedha Patrol's latest video:

Whatever the case the Stark head that comes with the figure definitely doesn't look like it'd fit inside the Iron Man helmet.

Ah. I prefer museum poses alas. Even lowering the shoulders, while the traps become more pronounced they still don't look the same as in the reference shots. Oh well.

What are the chances they'll fix the torso inaccuracies for the BD figure?

I?m betting they replace the entire torso

Well you were right, they?re sending me a replacement torso! So now I?m hoping the process of disassembly isn?t too complicated that I don?t break it taking it down to the torso to swap out. Soooo yeah, we shall see how this goes. Unless I luck out and it comes with instructions haha

Anyone ever taken a diecast iron man figure apart before?? Any tips/tricks??
