Iron Studios: Avengers: Endgame - Thanos Legacy Replica 1:4

My son wanted to go with the Infinity Gauntlet, Sword and helmeted, angry head which is the same setup that I had in mind initially but last night I changed it to the snap pose because we just watched the movie and the pose captures that moment in the movie PERFECTLY! I see myself switching him up often.. especially after Cap and Thor (no Iron Man lol) arrive. This pose will be paired with Cap having a broken shield and no hammer & Thor having just the Stormbreaker. Mjolnir and the broken shield pieces will be at Thanos' feet. Can't wait!

As things have been tough this year because of covid missed out on it, put myself on the waitlist for this piece and hopefully it’s converted, if I miss out I will buy the IW version to be displayed with an iron man piece

Oh wow, I didn't know the deluxe had also gone to wait list. I'd say there's a decent chance your wait list converts. The deluxe is definitely worth the extra money as the switch out parts are terrific...

It very temporarily went waitlist back in July and came back in stock after a day or two. Not sure what that was about. This Thanos actually a significantly lower ES than Cap and I think even Thor.

IW version has become more iconic as it’s the form he took where he wins the MCU for my money, but there is so much going on with this statue I got to have him over the IW version. I’m waiting until October if this doesn’t convert, then grab the IW version if that doesn’t sell out haha. Hopefully it does convert as it’s the best Thanos statue that I have seen

By giving us the Infinity Gauntlet with the deluxe version they eliminated the need for me to get the IW version. I prefer to have only one statue for a character and this is the best option IMO. Plus I always prefer a more stoic museum type pose over action poses anyways. And the amor looks amazing.

I have both Thanos statues and it's a pretty tough call which one I like better overall. Personally I prefer the action pose of the IW but I like the costume of the Endgame. The build quality of the IW statue is better and the paint of the sculpt and gauntlet is slightly better on the IW too. But the Endgame offers nice versatility with all it's switchouts. I wouldn't want to choose unless I had to.

They are both beautiful pieces. I own the Endgame version and absolutely love it. I wish I was rich because I would get the IW version as well but I just can’t justify spend $1000.00 on the same character knowing I could get a different one but both statues are equally perfect and can’t go wrong either way. I am partial to museum poses myself though.

I have both and while I am also partial to museum poses, that Infinity War Thanos pose is just so iconic. The gauntlet leading the way, the angry face. Just perfect.

**** this statue and its cheaply made sword. Sideshow sent me a broken replacement sword now they tell me i cant get another one. So pissed, last iron studios statue for me just like caps hammer hand and its ****** magnet and cheap parts- They ****ing cheap out on the quality of attachments, that ****ing sword is made of ****ing styrofoam/cheap plastic to break so easily, they arent worth the $$$ they charge. Good luck trying to sell this statue and ship it out in one piece no way that cheap ass sword survives the repack and ship. If you ever sell it best to sell in person lol. My biggest waste of money, sure the statue looks cool but that sword is a ****ing joke. Its too big and cheaply made just wait until yours breaks, and it will at some point unless you never move it Or ever repack it

People ***** about prime 1 going down hill well iron studios is a ****ing joke nothing prime 1 is so cheaply made as iron studio attachment parts. IS 1/10th scale peices are junk too my anakin statue saber just fell out of his hand on its own. ****ing junk. The actual statues are cool but they cheap out so much on the attachments they ruin the whole piece. Lesson learned, buyer beware

I’ve been buying Iron Studio products since even before Sideshow picked them up, and honestly since dot they’ve had production quality issues now and then on their pieces. Ever since their Age of Ultron pieces actually.

And yes I had multiple issues with my recent Cap, Thor and Thanos. And the sword wasn’t even an issue for me, as others annoyed me more. I got a replacement set for Thanos and in both the swords were perfectly fine.

I’ve got around 16 1/4 scales, 8 1/6 scales and 41 1/10 scales and a large chunk of them have issues. But then again so do my Sideshow and Prime 1 pieces.

Heck I usually have less issues with cheaply priced items as they’re probably not painted by hand etc.

The sword is made of cheap plastic junk

The material is so ****** i cannot even super glue it or cement bond it. Nothing sticks or bonds to this strange material. If anyone has any advice please let me know

If the sword had been packaged well it wouldn’t snap. So obviously it wasn’t packed according to the part. Unfortunately it may be that such a piece must be wrapped in hard styrofoam and not just whatever packing material that was used by Sideshow.

And honestly I find that when parts are made from plastics etc, they’re more likely to survive transport. It’s usually when it’s a resin mix which is the issue. The sword is definitely light, but I’m not 100% sure it’s made out of plastic. But Iron Studios still should’ve done drop tests on their pieces, which I’m guessing they didn’t if you’ve received multiple broken swords.

And whatever material Iron Studios has used here, it’s probably not the first time as people have been complaining about material choices since their comic Spider-Man.

I need to fix this **** so my wife dont see or know sidehow wont replace it again. Otherwise she ***** about me buying these expensive statues from them lol. If anyone knows how to fix this **** please let me know. Superglue does not seem to work well based on my prior experience with the last sword break. The break is an almost perfectly clean break above the polystone hand

I think all these companies or rather their factories do shifty things.

I’ve received a few pieces from Iron Studios where I’m 100% sure they were broken during production and they’ve simply super glued it back together. On both cases it was a broken piece on the base, and I don’t think they were returns as I was among the very first to receive the piece. But then again I’ve found on quite a few occasions that Iron Studio pieces to have an excess glue residue issue on their statues.

Unfortunately to get the bond you need you might have to put metal pins into it, which is quite a bit of work and you have to drill, insert the pins, use putty etc and then repaint.
