I just checked my local theatre and I can still buy ticket no problem. Endgame though, that was totally different. Seats were gone everywhere within the first 48 hours.

Yeah, not sold out by any means near me either. I doubt it will be even hours before showings. More people than ever are waiting for word of mouth before they go and take their kids to another bad experience.

I'm off the whole last week of the year, I'll probably go sometime after Christmas for $5 in the morning. For the first time ever I don't give a damn at all about spoilers before seeing a Star Wars movie.

I mean matinee tickets ran me 8.50, regular tickets is 14.25 for disney flicks while regular movies 12.25, of course they will market it as a success

Where the hell are movies still $5? I haven't seen a $5 movie since 1994.

The cost of living in the Midwest isn't quite as high as LA or SF :lol. $5 Tuesdays in all Marcus theaters in most states. My local mall theater is $5 every morning.

From the Marcus website-

These $5 Tuesday specials are only valid at Marcus Theatre locations in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin:

Yeah there used to be so many of those theaters. Those were the days.

And yeah, Joker would have gone to one of those theaters in the movie, but then they would have had to change the title back from "Joker" to "Taxi Driver.":monkey3
