Reposting this as its gotten lost higher up the thread but apparently this is the sculpt recently posted by Asmus but this is what it looks like with the rooted hair and beard.

Since this one turned out to be Gandalf from The Hobbit, many asked for LOTR Gandalf. There’s a really good sculpt from the early stages of this one that looked like the one everyone was hoping to get, they teased an updated version of that. It was never stated, if I recall correctly, whether it would be a whole boxed figure, a Slim version, or just an expansion pack.

Thank you!

Yeah, I'm sorry but I'm just seeing some random old man. Can't see any Sir Ian McKellen on that sculpt.

Ian mckellen on the left, mr holmes with a completely different prosthetic nose, and gandalf wearing another different prostetic nose.
I think this sculpt teased by asmus is spot on the rooted beard is great.
Would like to see what the white will look like also.

Yeah, and this is Magneto, yet you can 100% see McKellen features in that sculpt, or in every character he's done, under different make-up or prosthetic nose. I'm just saying that I'm not a big fan of this Asmus sculpt, and since it's the third version I was expecting a better likeness. I know he will look good enough under the rooted hair and beard, and I will add him to my collection, nonetheless.

Yeah. Totally with you. They seem to miss the likeness in every version. Which is sad.

Made some changes to my Gandalf:

Changed the body out for a HT Bruce Banner and added some longer ankle pegs.
The plastic belt buckle snapped a while back so replaced it with a real metal clasp.
Heated up the staff he uses to fight the Balrog with and stretched it so it’s longer.
I also couldn’t resist giving him a beard extension.
Steamed his hat down and folded his scarf too.

Great work, all around, Ahch.To.

I'm just not a fan of the hat, in general. Not sure if it is the material used or the pattern but it looks too floppy. You managed to make it look better.

I love the hat on the Gandalf figure, I’m so glad they used cloth and as long as you stick some foil in the point and pull it down properly it looks really good to me. A plastic hat would have been unappealing in my eyes

With the new Grey coming, I wonder if I'll have any use for this figure whatsoever now?

There's likely some part of this that will remain unique and useable. Cloth hat, cloth boots, something... I hope.
