Well I guess it time I was honest!!!.

I hate battle droids.... I don't like any thing about them... nothing... I hate the way they refuse to stand up.

But.......... I am now painting up the second one for Deathstalker... and.... I chuffin love em!!!!!

I have this photo in my head of masses of battle droids with one loan jedi about to kick some metal butt....

So if any of you guys got battle droids you don't want please bung em my way, I guess I could photoshop it but I would love to do it for real.
Just think it would be so cool... all red bits every where heads limbs oww yet another project :) why does all have to be so expensive those battle droids seem hard to get cheap!!!

Well here is some more shots of Deathstalkers pair....

Thanks Dorgs... They look fantastic. I wish I could say they look even better than I thought they would but I and everyone else knows what you're capable of......

Why not try the model kit version which comes with the STAP ? It's a better material ( injection styrene ), has better detail and best of all , can be picked up pretty cheap on ebay . The only drawback is there is no blaster rifle . ( Though you do get a bloody great STAP , coincedentally ). I do have one stashed away in the dark recesses of ThunderTowers I'll have to try and exhume at some point .

Wow Thunder Towers sounds like an awesome place! Better than thunder pants!!

I will indeed try to get one of those model kits I would love to see yours from The Dungeons Thunder Towers!!!

I've got one of those still sitting in the box waiting to get built, but I need to pick up some spray and unfortunately
I gotta leave town to get that because its illegal to sell spray paint within Chicago city limits.:banghead

Its a pretty good deal, I got mine for $18 shipped, and the STAP and Droid are really nicely detailed with it being a
model kit and not sold as a toy.

Yea, its seems poseable and its jointed in spots, and with some modding it can be better than Hasbro's, it has ball joints at hips, and normal joints at shoulders, the knees and elbows I'm not sure about, but they can always be pinned and made jointed, the hands would need reworking though since there posed side ways I think and the thumb is a separate piece

Ill post some pics later.

I only bought it because I saw an oppertunity for a 1/6 scale Star Wars
Vehicle and there are not to many choices for those, the battle driod
I saw as a bonus.

I ran across it on this guy's site, he lists the models by scale also.

Check out the 1/6 scale Probe Droid model, Im still dreaming of getting
it but Ive only seen one for sale once for $200, and I didnt have the
cash at the time. It was supposedly a very limited edition model, only
like 100 made.

Here are some pics of the model, Its got working joints pretty much every where. The shoulders,
knee and elbow joints have little notches to lock them in positions, the hips have pretty good ball
joints, but may need a little tightening up. The neck and head are also jointed. The forearm can
be easily made to twist since they have already done half the work, and ankle joints and such would
be easy to do with this. So with a little work this is a far superior battle droid than the Hasbro one.

Hope this helps you see what can be done with this kit.

:horror :horror

And I thought everything was illegal in Los Angeles. We could buy spray paint here.

Luis

Yea, sad isnt it. The problem is I live in down town Chicago, so getting out of the city limits means going 15-20 miles
in any direction, and I don't drive, so it means a 30 min L trip to Evanston, the city just to the north of us.

man they look cool!!!

Man the laws are tight in the USA, but you can still marry a cow in the state of Texas can't you, or is that one of those old wives tales?

Yeah, most of the places I buy spray paint its either locked up or you have to be 18 to buy it.

Yea the 18 years old to buy it deal is actually a federal law. I dont mind to much going out there to get it
because theres a huge hobby shop, fabric shop, hardware store and a really cool fossil shop with a museum
in the basement, all on the same block right near the L station.

Its just a pain when I realize i only need one thing for a project.:D
