The NEXT Indiana Jones PF.......?

From yesterdays Q&A:

You announced during Comic-Con 2009 that you will be releasing Premium Format Figures from “Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom”. Now, since you’ve already released two Indy PFs, this could might as well mean Mola Ram, Willie Scott or even Short Round, but I have to ask ’cause I simply cannot wait any more! Is there a Temple Of Doom Indiana Jones INDY PF on the way?

Yes, we are in development on Indiana Jones from Temple of Doom in Premium Format.

Not that this is new news but thought I would share.

Now this is the kind of news that I like to hear. Definitive "yes" on what Sideshow is making. This will be a definite purchase.

Great. The simple direction to go in is the torn shirt bridge scene Indy holding the Thuggee Sword in one hand and the Whip in the other ... but I would personally prefer Club Obi Wan Indy. But I will happily take one of whatever.

That just leaves Last Crusade ... (unless they follow Hemble's lead and do a "Mystery of the Blues" Indy)

I would LOVE a Club Indy...hell I will take variants...Club Indy and rope bridge Indy.

What if the next was an $800 Premium format of Indy and Henry Sr. in the motorcycle? I can't think of anything a iconic in that film and they've gone up to that price point for the Speeder Bike.

I would purchase that dual pf in a second. Someone should sibmit that suggestion to sideshow.

if they make the club obi wan pf, u can probably expect this response from your non-collector house guests---

guest: wow! that is a great james bond statue!

guest: but it looks like james bond.

you: actually, what it looks like is harrison ford.

guest: but harrison ford never played james bond.

you: that's cos it's not bond. it's indy.

guest: (long pause)... man, the people who made this statue really screwed up the costume, huh. indy doesn't wear james bond clothes!

so i guess this version of temple of doom indy would be THE iconic... and universally recognizable look.

If Sideshow gets cute and tries to do something "unique" it'll most likely disappoint. Gotta be one of these three iconic TOD poses (though the Struzan one-sheet is actually just a painting )
