8k is a waste of money right now its all up converted ********. Its like buying a flying car without the required gas to fly it. Just buy the 77inch lg c9 and enjoy pure bliss for next 6 years until new tech and 8k content is widespread. Its better to have the best 4k tv playing 4k content in its native resolution then have it upscale which just distorts the image by adding info that isnt in the source data

we are still waiting on 4k star wars disks.

Those are being released on March 31st.

Does Vader still say "No, no" while Palps electrifies Luke in Disney+ version?

Yes, all the same SE changes are still present with the added line of Greedo's "Maclunkey!" as his gun goes off before Han blows him away.

Cassian's direct murder of a rebel ally is the future's way of getting a little even. Disney will change that one day so the guy is shot by a nearby stormtrooper forcing Cassian to run.

There won't be much 8k content except for completely new stuff, most movies have been mastered at 2K, so even most 4K movies aren't true 4K but upscaled. And nothing can be done about it for some movies (like movies shot digitally at less than 4K), others would be prohibitively expensive to remaster.
