This is a digital commission featuring a TRON-ified character from the "Warhammer 40000" universe.

The original line art measures 9x12 inches and was drawn on Bristol art board in pencil. The final artwork was colored in Photoshop CS4 using a Wacom Cintiq 21UX.

You can watch a recording of me coloring this piece on my Ustream channel here: https://www.ustream.tv/recorded/15786315

This image is a collaboration between myself and the custom action figure artist known as Sillof: https://www.sillof.com/

A few months ago I approached him with the offer of creating a movie poster-style image based on one of his custom Star Wars figure sets and he approved. I chose the Samurai Wars set and this image is the result.

Sillof does amazing work with his custom figures, not just in the figures themselves but also in the detailed stories and character backgrounds he creates for them. One could waste hours viewing the creations on his website (and I have).

This image will be available as a print very soon, so stay tuned for details!

The characters in this piece were all drawn separately on 9x12 Bristol in pencil and colored in Photoshop CS4 using a Wacom Cintiq 21UX.

Tomorrow (Sunday, August 14th) I will be having a digital auction (the first one in quite some time) on my artcast featuring three new pieces in the Extra Big Fat Digital Commission format. The pieces feature scenes from "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King", "Jurassic Park" and "Jaws".

I will start working on the "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" piece at 3:00PM CST and auction it off during that time. At 5:00PM CST, I will start working on the "Jurassic Park" piece and auction it off during that time. And finally, at 7:00PM CST I will start working on the "Jaws" piece and auction it off during that time.

The bidding price for each piece will start at $50.00. You must be registered with Ustream (it's free to register) and in the Otis Frampton Live chat room to participate in the auction. Here's a link to Ustream/Otis Frampton Live: https://www.ustream.tv/channel/otis-frampton-live

Here are roughs for the three new pieces (right click and "View Image" if your monitor is not big enough to see the full rough) . . .

"That Still Only Counts As One"

I will keep working on these pieces up until the day of the auction. I intend to have the line art and color flatting finished and fully prepped so that the pieces can be completed in the two hours alloted for each one. These pieces will be fully digital with no paper line-art component. The image area for each one measures 7.5"x17".

I hope to see everyone in the Otis Frampton Live chat room on the day of the auction!
