The paint apps on the HT are so much cleaner. Hope there’s a chance they do release that considering the Jedi Luke same time release. Kinda doubt it though.

Mine arrived this week. I like it. Would ht version be better? Possibly but he fits nicely with my two scc troopers

Yeah, there was a justifiable backlash due to that awful first head, but that was fixed nicely. While I really hate what SSC has done with trooper gloves in the past couple of years, and this figure's gloves look just as goofy and unconvincing, overall this figure in truth is probably pretty close to what HT would produce. They even fixed the terrible proto holster - which should be plastic not pleather and is too short, but still looks decent.

I got mine yesterday from my local store. I think the figure looks great, my only complaint are that there is no left griping hand for the e-11 or pistol.

He looks all right through the box window. His top and kama seems to be a felt material.

Now I've released him from the box he's pretty good.

The only issue I would have is one mentioned earlier: the kama strap shows too much below the belly armour, and in turn covers up too much of the codpiece.

Other than that he does have a feel good factor. Great to have another slice of Hoth to display.

I just got the commander open and honestly...I'm underwhelmed. Sideshow could have done a little better w this one.

Pros...overall a good shelf presence.
Guns have good detail.

Cons: I'm usually pretty satisfied with SS armored guys...but here we go....

The armor is all very flat. I was expecting a glossy finish...but no, it's all very flat. It makes the base flat plastic look a little cheap.

The body is a little loose.

The gloves are a bit rough and the gun holding hand is so big...it dosent close around the blaster.

The holster is a very soft, thin material. A little worried about long term durability.

Chest armor dosent sit too flat on the chest and I did try futzing with it.

Can't have him hold the blaster two handed because the chest armor won't allow the arms to cross.

On mine at least, there were three black dots they covered up with touch up paint on the side of his helmet.

On the whole, I would say I'm a little disappointed...I'd give a B-/C+

I hate to say it, but that almost looks like a Hasbro 1/6 figure.
