Sideshow, Hot Toys, and Terminator 2

My understanding is that the Terminator 2 license is Sideshow's and that it is essentially on loan to Hot Toys and that Sideshow has final say on what gets made. If that's the case, does Hot Toys have permission to make a battle-damaged T-800 from the climax of the movie, or are some of us fans just hoping, emailing them, and even pestering them on their facebook page for no productive reason?
BTW, If my understanding about the licensing situation is wrong, please correct me.
