Got mine. Pretty happy with it overall. I was worried that sideshow would really screw up going from proto to production, but I think the likeness is the best non custom out there in 1/6.

Quick pic, more later:

Best in hand closeup by far:clap

I do see Ford as Indy no question

I guess this body is good enough. I wonder how a muscular TT will look though

SSC is stepping up their game first with Hoth Han, now this Indy. These bodies need to get to TT level though :lecture

Can practically hear him say " You betrayed Sheeva!! "

Haven't had a chance to snap pics yet but I love this figure! I agree about the hat being too big, but I've got a spare Medicom Indy hat which fits him perfectly! Even the 12" Hasbro Indy hat looks like a better fit on him than the one he came with. I'm using this hat for my German Disguise Indy head which is a perfect size match too since those old Sideshow Indy heads were pretty huge.

Wow Sideshow have hit a home run with that sculpt
its not 100% but damn near.
I thought this would look great next to my DX05 but that Indy sculpt is so poor compared to this. I will have to pose my DX looking down with his hat hiding his face. :exactly:

Just got this figure and I'm in LOVE with it!!!

Slightly weathered the outfit, glued down the collars and cut more of the sleeve to expose more of his arm.

Also repainted his wounds on his back

Before and after weathering and glueing his shirt down to permanently giving it that great futzed look :)

Could you post a pic with the medicom hat?

Here you go! It's true what they say though, this guy doesn't photograph well. He looks so much better in hand, and the Medicom hat looks better than pictured too. There's a bit of a gap in the back but it doesnt' bother me since I'll never look at the figure from behind. I don't let big things bother me, let alone little things. lol You could probably heat the hat up with a hair dryer and get it to sit even lower to cover the gap, but I like it fine the way it is now.

The 3 included Sankara stones don't fit in his bag, but luckily I had the three smaller ones from the Indy box crate set a few years ago and all three of those fit nicely.

hi! I was wondering how a Indiana Jones Temple of Doom SSC Indy would work trying to go for this pose:

View attachment 250587

Would need at least to add a jacket, and gloved fists for it...

Sure that could work with the SS sculpt

You can still find DX05 accessories like the jacket & gloved hands on ebay quite cheap.
Although prices for DX05 loose parts has gone up recently, I think due to the TOD Indy?

FANTASTIC shot, Matt....

Really like the shots you posted too, Michael......glad to see the fedora can pull down in the front...and I agrree...not really concerned about a gap I won't see from the front.
Wish I had a DX5 fedora and make it look t stunning as rubio does there in his shots, but....didn't pick that one up, so stock'll have to do....

These pictures are looking great...got a bit more waiting to do...please keeping 'em coming!

I know we've passed through denial, anger, bargaining, depression and now subsist in acceptance of the "new" SSC pricing, but every time I go to order this figure it makes me profoundly sad how very little $230 buys you these days.:lol

Kind of staggering when you really look at it. It screams $175 ($200 tops) every time I look at this bare-bones release - no second headsculpt, no jacket, not even a small part of the rope bridge to fit on the basic black stand. Hey I guess it comes with ten hands and very nice box art (seriously.)
