I have just received my Icon Heroes Castle Grayskull statue. It is a wonderful sculpt but the paint is no as good as it should be. It differs quite alot from the prototype (on the prototype they have used more different tones of green) and even more important the colours did not go everywhere. Therefore I have alot of white spots especially at the ground. Further the paints are very thick. All in all I thought that this piece might be a great project for repainting. Before I do so, I would like to get the original off to not lose any details. Is there any way to achieve that without causing damage to the sculpt/material?

Edit: just learned it seems to be a polystone/resin statue...
