I have the bluray and watched it last week and remember looking at it and thinking they were the same socks. It looked like he was wearing white crocs as well. I'll check it out again tonight.

For those who don't care about accuracy skip this post. 
I just realized the pockets below the belt are wrong on the outfit set. I don't know how I overlooked them (knowing how they looked) but now noticed them thanks to Dally's pics. The pockets in the movie costume begin at about belt level, arc down shortly then extend horizontally back to the sides. The pockets on the outfit set appear to be standard pants pockets.
As for the socks, I too thought that the Joker wore black socks but after one of our own offered up an image of Joker's escape from the hospital, and having seen a better image of the same pic, I have to agree that his socks look like the multicolored ones belonging to his purple suit.
I'll stick with the black socks from the kit, though, because the Hot Toys socks are too bright (the squares are so small that all the non black colors [actually there is no black as there should be] stand out way too much.

the HT socks are accurate, but the colors they chose are brighter than the film's choice of shading

I watched the Nurse Joker scene again and it appears as though the pockets could just be horizontally opened pockets like that of a standard shirt pocket, but there is so much excess to the Joker's nurse outfit, that tightening the belt over it caused the front ends of the pockets to ride up. I think, at least.

This outfit might be better on an Asian Truetype, because the hands match more of the Asian tone. I'm using Asian hand pegs because that was all I could find and the hands match up with them nice, I have him in dim light so you can't really tell but the Caucasian body is a little different tone.
That is awesome news about the Joker socks actually being worn by Nurse Joker! I thought they were black all of this time too. Just too small to see before that pic a few pages back.

Good question. I didn't see one either.
Only this one I found on Google, blurry.. small, I blew it up but couldn't see the Joker's pattern socks here...

Yeah I didn't know that either, but I remember reading that the clap inside the jail cell and the lip smack was improved.

Yeah, I heard the take was messed up because the detonation crew mistimed the explosion.. in other words when Heath clicked the detonator, nothing happened, so they kept the camera rolling. Heath had to improv clicking it again and then it blew. It was kind of an outtake that Chris kept because it was spontaneous. Anyway, that's what I heard. You will hopefully all know next week if the DVD Special Features talks more about it.

That's a classic case of a "happy accident". One of the funnier moments of Joker goofing and it was out of necessity. He really is an agent of chaos.

Thanks for finding the pic. The only reason I remember it is because when I was watching the Blu-ray last week it stood out really clear to me. Now the real question is where can we find some 1/6 white clogs?
As for all the mention of it being improv in that scene I believe thats just rumor. There's a special dedicated to that scene on the Blu-ray and it doesn't mention anything about any improv. In fact it said Heath rehearsed it all day long and they did a billion walk throughs before shooting. They also show the alternate scene from the one in the film that pans out to show the explosion. Instead it follows Heath into the bus and the camera stays on him as the buildings explode outside the windows of the bus and Heath never looks back once. I thought it was a much cooler shot and really added to Heath's Joker as someone that just really wanted the world to burn. In the end they said they went with the scene they did to show people that it was real and the scale of what they were blowing up.
