I just bought a Hot Toys Lost pred from a fellow freak. It seems on the older preds that a wire dread mod is the way to go to get them to look good. Anyone know of someone who might want to help me out, or is it terribly hard to do myself? Keep in mind I have no experience in customizing any kind of figure. Thanks!

I did multiple dread mods on my lost predator. First I did the boiling water method

This is very effective, but the lost predators dreads will soon begin to go back up and not all together so you end up with random dreads pocking up. You could repeat the process but doing it multiple times will likely mess up the rubber.

The most effective way to get awesome dreads permanently is to pull all of them out by the roots and re glue them back in. here is a picture of mine after doing this method.

I'm not gonna lie this method is tedious and takes a while, but the end results are well worth the effort.

Thanks for the advice! I'm actually looking for someone who would be interested in doing the wire method for me. I just don't think I have the patient and steady hand to do it without botching the figure. Obviously payment would be involved. Any takers?

They revert back after about a month or so. U should use really hot water not quite boiling. I'll try to throw up some more pics later.

Dr. Odd does the wire mod and his work looks great. Shoot him a pm and maybe he can help.
