hahaha.. My 6 yr. old son is currently playing my old N64. He recently got into Super Mario 64. He's actually pretty good. Got 17 stars all by himself. :lol

My wife still plays it as well: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. She's beaten both multiple times and still loves them. Guess it really is a "family" console. :lol

Is Goldeneye available on the Virtual Console yet?

Goldeneye was made by Rare and that is owned by Microsoft now. Microsoft was going to release it on the Xbox Live Marketplace but Microsoft and Nintendo could not come to a financial agreement since Nintendo owns the rights to the game itself.

Nintendo has said they would love to put the game on the Virtual Console but they have to work out licensing rights with Microsoft who owns Rare who developed the game and Activision who own the rights to the James Bond video game license.

At this point I think it is a lost cause and the only way to play it is on the N64. I'm glad I still have my copy. One of the best games ever. I still wish Microsoft had been able to put it on Live with online multiplayer though. That would have been a blast. There are actually TONS of games that were made back before online multiplayer that I'd love to see re-released with todays technology in the realm of multiplayer.

My god I don't know how people can forget so easily: Super Mario 64. The game that freakin' revolutionized 3D platform gaming (and analogue control).

And I loved Mario Kart 64.

Yep! And there was also Starfox 64, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, and the original Turok. All of them were great games.

For some reason I couldnt get into Mario 64. I have ABSOLUTELY no idea why.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of the best games of all time. I need to buy it from the Wii Virtual Console myself. That and Super NES Punch-Out will probably be the next ones I buy.

Old consoles are great. I still own my N64, snes, and saturn. One of my favorite N64 games is Jet Force Gimini. Too bad my parents traded the family nes a few years ago for a wheel chair...

had anyone gone back to play old NES games recently? I tried, and some of them are so easy while others are RIDICULOUSLY hard. I have no idea how I could play those things as a kid.

Goldeneye and Ocarina of Time are still my 2 favorite games of all time. Will NEVER EVER sell it.

And honestly, that Zelda didn't look too bad
