Hey guys,

So this guy is even nicer than I expected. I really like the detail in the armor and the overall “Alien” like aesthetic!

He stands pretty well but the ankles seem a little “loose”. I haven’t put on the cape yet but have to say that overall this is a cool figure despite it’s age.

The Man of Steel line is pretty good overall and I would almost say a bit underrated. I have all three figures released by Hot Toys and they hold up nicely. The film isn’t my favorite anymore and I’ve thought of selling the figures from time to time, but I’m glad I haven’t.

I almost dare to say as an entire film line from the DCEU, it’s HT’s best effort. All three figures are overall solid, all with solid sculpts bearing good likenesses and detailed figures. They don’t look aged to me at all in the least bit and in many ways look better than stuff they are currently putting out. I have them all three paired together in the detolf and it’s arguably the shelf, if not one of them at least, that commands the most shelf presence.

By and large, I think HT has done a pretty good job on DCEU figures.

Completely agree. That Jor-El is up there as one of the best headsculpts I've ever seen them produce, and then the Zod makes you wonder why they struggle with teeth so much currently because his aren't actually that bad. While they don't make a ton of DC figures, I feel it's an underrated line in terms of quality from HT.

Jor-El and Zod are extremely underrated figures. Only thing missing is a neutral Zod expression

My custom black suit Zod.
I had been wanting a black suit Zod for a while but didn't want to spend £200+ to experiment on one. When this came up cheap on eBay I could see the potential so gave it a shot. Still a little bit more to do but nearly there.

Yeah, 100% better on that body
