I think Mel Gibson would've made a great Max.
Well, he can pull off crazy better now than he could in his younger years.

3D was laser sharp and totally enhanced the action scenes.

Except for that stupid cgi steering wheel at the end! :lol
Such a standard 3-D gimmick :lol I could tell that was why it was included.

Going to see this on Tuesday... A bit concerned that Max is a side character (figured from trailers) but it looks great... Curious to see who I side with Jye or A-Dev

Great was on the edge my seat loved every minute of it not even a Mad Max fan.

The film left me aching to run home and throw on RW. :lol

Which is a good thing I guess depending how you read that. :lol

My 2nd viewing plans fell thru, my god daughter's mother was diagnosed with bone cancer and quickly admitted to the hospital so I agreed to take on her 2 young daughters for her while she deals with that horrendous crisis, life comes around like that and slaps us on the face to remind us how absolutely fast it all can come to an end!

Anyways, hopefully sometime next weekend i'll revisit this.

Even I think you're being too harsh on it, I don't think they ruined anything, don't forget that Beyond Thunderdome ruined what came before and that had Mel in it!

Beyond Thunderdome after RW is like TDKR after TDK!

I don't think them using TH ruined FR.

Mel Gibson made his bed, he now has to lay in it.

Next time try not throwing your employers under the bus, that usually ends a career! :lol

Thanks for that. Chuffed that my opinion stood out enough to be representative of a side :duff

E for Effort!!! Hardy zero personality no charisma in the film should have got a oak tree to play the part. Had none of the edgy thousand mile stare of mad Mel. Lots of set pieces upped all the violence. Waste of money once again.

I can see it now. Everyone else watching Max is having a great time, big smiles, chewin popcorn - and you're sitting there, arms folded, confused furled eyebrows, and just can't wait to go home and use the bathroom.

:wink1:

Would've been great if Max found out at the end that IJ was the Gyro Captain or Feral kid!

Imagine his face when that was revealed.

If all you want out of it is a TM movie, you're about to experience the best movie of your life! :lol

IJ has even been described as Sweet Tooth come alive!

However, nothing came close to the emotional impact of when Max plays with the music box in the RW, but those are my emotions, you might not give a crap about that scene. :lol

Did you notice Toast playing with the same music box in the cab of the War-Rig? Or during one of the visions, Max sees Toecutter's eyes popping out of his head from the original.
