How to take the arms and torso off a TTM19?

I think it's much more complicated than that. The arms/shoulders are attached to the torso with screws. I believe people have cut along the side seam (rib cage under the arms) of the rubbery muscle upper torso to reveal that shoulder joint. Sorry I personally haven't done it, but I know people here have. Someone will come along!

Yes, on further research that's exactly what you have to do: you have to cut the seems on the sides, remove the torso skin and the screws are revealed. Thanks guys!
