"Action figure" is nothing but a marketing euphemism for "doll" coined to avoid feminine connotations. Furthermore it was coined to apply to a clothed and articulated 12-inch figure which is exactly what we're talking about here. It's a doll. It's an action figure. It's a high-end collectible. Semantics.

This thread is suppose to be a tribute to Brandon so lets get back on TOPIC and praise the work Hot Toys has done with the newest release of an amazing likeness to the man himself.

Paint some red targets on his cheeks, sit him on a trike, & it's the puppet from 'Saw'.. :lol

Back to the lovely HT figure though - I'm really keen to see some hi-res shots of the guitar! :rock

I actually do agree that we should get back to talking about this new toy Crow doll that's coming out.

Let's agree to disagree then, and go back at talking about The Crow COLLECTIBLE... whether it resembles a doll or an action figure. :slap

It's not a matter of disagreeing or agreeing because its a matter of fact, not opinion.

The term "action figure" was coined by Hasbro to sell dolls to boys. That is beyond debate. Whatever Hot Toys is calling their action figures is just an extension of that euphemistic rebranding.
