Damn! That looks real good! Even better then the Hot Toys prototype shown. Makes you wish they had shipped out an extra white or black pauldron with the squad leader just for the sake of customizing... But that wouldn’t satisfy Hot Toys’s wallet lol

From early this year, I just used a sideshow pauldron and a #10 size lock nut washer glued in between his fingers , Or u can paint his pauldron white looks great.

Yeah, after I saw your original post I went out and got the tiny washer I’m using. I thanked you for that idea a few posts ago. Awesome idea man, brilliant and simple. [emoji106]

This guy’s nowhere near done yet. I’m planning on taking the duty pack apart, and rebuilding it with stronger materials and a few other neat little bells and whistles I’ve discovered from doing the research. Hot Toys barely scratched the surface with the Sandy they produced, there’s a bunch of cool details they totally skipped over.

I’ve never seen the Marmit pauldrons up close or held them in hand. In pictures they look like molded plastic. Are they actually made of leather or fabric?

The Hot Toys pauldrons need a little love, like most Hot Toys stuff, but after addressing the issues they look amazing, an they are super durable.

The Marmit pauldron is slightly rubbery plastic. I added a "bead" around mine to make it a bit more accurate. The HT ones look a bit too reddish, but look great overall. I have a Sideshow on and its a bit inaccurate, but looks decent and is made of pleather.

The Marmit Sandie pauldrons are getting brittle in time, the extra black one I had broke in 3 pieces last year

My Marmit pauldrons are holding up, but I hit them with a blow dryer all the time to shape them to new figures I modify..

The black one that I had extra was very brittle, the white one is not. I guess they might have aged differently. I never used them on any of my figures, they were in the same small bag they came in with my Marmit Sandie which already has a white pauldron.

Sourced a couple parts off a Sideshow Sargent’s pack to combine with the Hot Toys Sandie pack, to make a nicer Pack #5 “Filter Pack.”
