Hey all

Spent some time looking over this figure. It is a stunning piece.

Below are the images. Or if you prefer I made a 38 minute video review which you can watch here.

It's made of a mixture of plastic and metal. It comes with a variety of alternate pieces so you can display him clean or battle damaged.

Paint and moulding quality is very good. The head sculpt of Tony Stark is excellent.

LED individual controls for eyes, chest and both arms.

Excellent quality stand with light-up base.

Articulation is good for an armoured figure. Some nice thoughts where armour or joints can slide a bit wider to allow for a bit more movement.

Cost is a bit mroe than usual Hot Toys because of the metal, but seems fair for the quality.

QA seems pretty good. There is a slight scratch over the groin area on the one I checked. Apart from that I couldn't find any other issues.

Nice, quality looking box. Usual Hot Toys high standards.

I think he's 5 stars :)

Here are some detailed images.

Hope you find it helpful!

Great close up pictures, got mine last week & I'm very happy with it..., it's even now my favourite Iron Man figure (out of the 8 I have so far). Good review..., just one question though, your title for this says MMS & the figure your reviewing is the diecast one? Is the diecast figure still considered an MMS version like the plastic version they made? I'm not an expert so want to know, thanks. :)

Yes it is...MMS197D02, the D02 is the coding for diecast.

Thanks! :)

As I said, here's the video review version. 38 mins long. I go through articulation, paint, etc, etc.

See My Hot Toys Iron Man Mark XLII (42) Review On You Tube.

I see on your website that you stock Kotobukiya products, do you plan on getting either or both of the new ArtFX+ 1:10 scale Iron Man figures? Also, I see you've got the Freddy Krueger Bishoujo figure, will you be getting the Jason version too?

Thanks. :)

Yep, yep and yep. All on order to come in when in stock at the various distributors. If you want any, just let me know and I'll let you know when they are in.

I will have all 3 then please..., need to buy the Freddy Krueger Bishoujo figure too but didn't want to buy it until I was certain I could get the Jason version as well. What are the expected prices of the 3 figures mentioned?

Thanks. I'll give you a shout when all three are in. Can you please PM me your email address or email us on [email protected] and we'll note to let you know when they are in?

Depending on if you want all three shipping together when in we can save a bit. Freddy and Jason are £52.95 each. Jason due end Dec / Jan. Iron Man jan. He will be around £47.95 I think.

Although you may wish to pick up the freddy one sooner rather than later as she's selling fast. Link is here

Thanks

Liam

Duuuude! I see that you're from Bedfordshire, SO AM I!
Just seen on your website that you're based in flitwick, I work in flitwick about 5 minutes down the road.
This could be great. :)

Now that is a small world! Nice to meet you!

Happy to meet up sometime if you like. Just PM me or email [email protected]

If you haven't got this figure already and want to see it, that can be arranged :)

Cheers

Liam
