Well, I'm not so sure that it's just a QC issue. The dents and shiny spots that people have been reporting could have been cause by packages that were roughed up in shipping.

Correct. If they'd have just added the plastic covering to the entire Batman sculpt everything would've been fine. Instead it was only applied over the mouth piece. :slap Needless to say mine arrived with 2 massive shiny rub marks on the cowl.

Woww thanks for showing me that Ill save my money for dark knight rises hopefulley they dont screw that one up. Might as well get keaton batman and joker.

I assure you that Keaton Batman and the upcoming DKR figures are going to have their own share of problems and people are going to go :panic:, just as they are now. It'll be deja vu all over again, but with different issues.

I'm so sorry to hear that man :(. My Batman figure arrives next week, so I hope that everything's okay when I get it in hand.

Thanks to you guys, I noticed that the right boot socket is broken. Also, the right arm springs downward when I raise it (when compared to the left arm), the right knee pad isn't aligned, and the head is shiny.

I just want the foot fixed. We'll see what SS says.

The right kneepad seems to be an issue on almost every figure i have seen. Still waiting for someone to show me this 'dent'.:impatient:

The plastic wrap on this figure is just BS. Said it before, say it again, especially to MIB collectors. Take that ____ off ASAP.:lecture

So I'm reading the damage report from my fellow boardies and realize that I am one of the lucky ones. The dent seems to get getting better now after I took it out to breathe. I have no shiny spots on the Batman head or any runs on the Wayne head. And no major ankle issues like the ones stated on the damages thread. Still, never heard of any issues like this during the OC run. And that figure retailed at like $135-$150. HT should be ashamed.

Oh and found my spare pack of wrist joints. Its tapped in the little pocket in the tray behind Bats where the little "do not eat" pouch is at.

These babies just got delivered this afternoon from Sideshow. Gonna check for sure if the wayne figure is 'damage proof' afer reading all these comments on the forum.

If they'd start putting these in foam by default, they wouldn't need plastic wrap, and we'd stop having these rub issues. My 2 cents anyway..

How much can foam cost for these compared to the clamshells? Really, I'll pay the difference HT.

Seems like right side of these in general is where the problems are. They should give their factory left side specialist a raise, and fire the noob that worked on all the right sides. :monkey1

Although the Takara Bats is not considered to be the superior figure of the two, it might end up withstanding the test of time better than our new Begins figure.

Not so worried about shine on the figure but any real damage will drive me off the edge considering the cost for such a figure. I am just amazed at how one day everyone, including myself, loves this figure and eagerley awaits it and then the next day there are 100 pages of thread devoted to how ____ the figure is.

I'm probably the only ones lucky enough to actually like this new one better than my old OC bats.

Your not alone. I love this figure much better than my OC Bats. I have one of the flat looking (dried out looking) figure. This figure is almost perfect for me. The suit has a great look to it. It does have a small deformation/dent to the right abdomen, but the feet/ankles are perfect and I dig the magnetic face plates. The belt is much better and my Bale sculpt is perfect.

I am seriously contemplating selling my OC Bats. This figure looks perfect next to my DX Bats. Zero remorse getting this figure.

I was beginning to think that I was the only one. Sorry to hear about there being so many with issues.
