I heard even HE was tired of the delays and didn't feel like committing the next 6 years of his life living and working in New Zealand.
 
I like Del Toro but I think he's alittle over-rated. Will PJ take the chair back?
 
What did he really ever do? I know that Pans Labyrinth movie, which was great but I dont think it's proof of him being able to deliver LOTR quality.
 
Bummer... I think Del Toro was a good choice. Can't really blame him.

And Trustey; he also did Hellboy 1 & 2, Devil's Backbone and Blade II.

Not LOTR quality, but He did Hellboy and one of the Blade movies!:rock
