Freddy VS Jason PF Question

Ok, my brother has the opportunity to pick this up locally from a guy at about half retail price which seems too good to be true. He and I don't know the guy so what I am wondering is if there are recasts floating around out there and if so what do we look for? Any info would be much appreciated since I have not followed the F vs J thread. Cheers

These have went down in price since the new ones have been released I think. I have never heard of any recasts on these either.
