Just picked up #105/1500 and here are some quick pictures from my iPhone. This shield is full of awesome!

Is no one else seeing how flat and "soft" this shield came out? There is no detail at all in the grooves or the star... at all.
For $600.00, this should look a heck of alot better, as far as the paint goes.

Do i wish the grooves in the star were more pronounced, of course. But your complaint about the paint job is absurd in my opinion. Overall I'm very happy with this shield and I think other owners would agree. I personally would rather have a screen accurate prop than pay more for a shield from a company with an unproven track record but hey that's just me.

Well, I don't think it is absurd, when looking at the above pic. The star is the focal point of the shield, and it looks like it is almost flat silver
with no detail. For $600.00, I expect a little better.

Screen used prop vs idealized prop. The mold is from a stunt shield, that's why the star details aren't that pronounced. I understand if that's not your cup of tea but hard to hate on eFX for this when they duplicated the prop shield perfectly. I heard the same complaints about eFX's Maul saber, to each their own.

I agree that the grooves could've been "better" but am completely in love with the shield nonetheless. I can't wait to pick up a guitar stand so I can display it that way. Now, to find a Mjolnir for a good price.

Your shield looks a lot nice in that pic. I am still really torn between the two,
so I guess I will let both my preorders come in and sell one from there, lol.

Thanks and yeah, I am very anxious to see how the King Arts one is. I have another eFX shield on PO with BBTS and I know these shields will pay for themselves so I may just sell both and get a King Arts one if they end up being "better"

Picture with the old Factory X comic version shield.

Grooves in star are there but get washed out in pictures by light pretty easily.

Nice. I'm still waiting for a cancellation. Can't decide which one to get with this debate going on, haha :lol KA is Preordered still.

Thanks for the new pics... that does look better in that lighting.

I would still want to add a black wash or something in the star area to bring out the details in those grooves, though.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I really like how it looks here but then again, I don't want to add the actual bullet marks and I'm not too sure how it'd look with a bit of a wash since it's paint and not metal.

And to be fair, it does look exactly like this one.

Conclusion:
Those who have it, touched it and ove it. And those who don't, are expressing opinions based on photos.
