Ok, so im selling something on ebay and it was up to $138.50

I go back on today and it's marked a $36.00

How can this happen!!?!?!?!? There's absolutely no record whatsoever showing it was up to $138.50. It's as if it just disappeared and never happened! What the heck is going on!?!?!?

Any light shed on the situation would be greatly appreciated!

the only penalty you get is the canceled bids are shown in your ebay profile. And I doubt ebay really cares.

well if the retracted bid was for $160 and the auction went up $2.50 your other bidder has a pretty high one.

Wow, ebay must have changed a lot. I thought the seller was the only one who could remove bids.

eBay has allowed bidders to retract bids since at least 1999.
