Worms 2: Armageddon EX Diorama 32/425 - First 4 Figures

Finally arrived! (I POed this in March of last year). I was waiting for this because I played a lot of Worms in high school and it's a very unique piece that brings nice memories to me.
The piece is really well made. The cartoonish look of the worms is great and the way the recreated the limblessness (word?) is very creative. Now I really want them to make a Rayman statue!!
I dig the way the guns are encrusted into each worm, the facial expression are great, the EX banana is a great touch, the base is well made and even the box is cool, made in the style of the aircraft drops from the game. The only 'issue' I feel is that the shotgun rest just a tad loosely and it can probably fall easily if you wiggle (I took both guns out when I carried the statue up the stairs) but at rest it should be fine.
Overall I'm very happy with this piece and I recommend it to any worms/video game fan.

JSC Gwen Stacy 1:5 Comiquette 123/4000 - Sideshow

Got my replacement today and all is well! I really like this statue, it's very classy in a subdued way. The rain is pretty well rendered, the pose is lovely and the flow of the raincoat is very well done as well. It's not a perfect statue, the eye shadow is a bit messy, the paint between her thighs is unfortunate... but overall it's a very lovely statue.
Definitely the best Gwen out there though there's not much competition.

Darth Vader Mythos 1:5 Statue 3638/5000- Sideshow

Well this finally(!) arrived. I had missed out on the first wave, then it was sold out and I finally was able to 'PO' when it became available again. I have to admit I was losing interest a bit in this as it came closer but once I opened it all my jadedness and doubts were gone. This is a gorgeous statue.
The sculpt is wonderful and it has tons of display options. Everything is very well sculpted, the 2 heads have some very slight differences (mostly the nose) but have different feel; the Shaw face is more contemplative while the Christensen face has more anger in it. The orange paint doesn't bother me at all on the costume but I do wish the helmet weren't quite so orange. I feel the statue works best in its intended pose but the orange on the helmet bothers me just a bit, I like the "join me!" fist with helmet but I feel like it doesn't fit the base and scene as well as the other option. The bottom line however is that there are many ways to display this statue and most likely something to satisfy everyone. I hope they are able to make some more Mythos down the line.

He-Man with Orko 1:4 EX Statue 241/350 - Pop Culture Shock

Well frak. It was my first PCS statue so I was hoping to be underwhelmed by it so I could resell it and cut back on some aspects of my collection.... total failure! Not only that but he's so freaking tall (30" and back to that in a sec) that I don't know where on Earth to put him.
Now the statue itself, simply put I have no issues whatsoever with the production, the paint or anything when it comes with the execution of the piece. It's perfect honestly, He-Man looks like he jumped off the screen, the paint is simple but perfect for a cartoon character, the base is kick ass (I wish the whole castle was behind him!!), the pose is great... like I said.
However! I find Orko to be totally useless in this piece. He's greatly made for sure but he doesn't belong, this scene is He-Man's and He-Man's alone. Orko would have been a much better EX for Man-at Arms who he keeps annoying with his magic in the cartoon.
I mentioned he's 30" and that's mighty tall. None of my shelves fit him and my second tallest statues (Master Chief, Batman and Boba Fett Mythos) reach around 25". It's not that big a difference but I can't justify lowering a whole shelf by 5" just for one piece because it would force me to remove other pieces.
So this leads me to my one complaint about this piece: the EX was simply a bad choice by Jerry and PCS. Orko doesn't do anything for this piece and even detracts, a MUCH better EX (though I realize also MUCH harder to execute) would have been 2 heads and 2 sets of arms for a "I have the POWER!!" pose. It would shave a lot of height in the statue and allow for more display options for a lot of people.

In any case I have no space for him, not sure where to put him and I'm not letting him go. So that should tell you everything you need to know.

JSC Spider-Man 1:5 Comiquette 1627/1750 - Sideshow

The trio is now complete. I've received him with no major problems, nothing broken which seems like a miracle considering his long fingers. the paint is good, not perfect but nothing that really jumps at you unless you pout your nose to the statue. I don't know how I feel about the darker shade of red though, I think I prefer the contrast of the more vivid red.
The base and wall are cool and well made, it's especially nice that they sculpted and painted the back as well (seems to be a thing with Spider-Man statue and the back of walls :p).
I like like the pose a lot, the fact that he's only holding on by his 2 feet is original and it showcases his stickiness and strength well. The statue also fits well with the other 2 of the line but I have to admit that if I were to have to chose I'd pick the Kotobukiya one (I don't have the original comiquette).

Virgo no Shaka 1:6 HQS - Tsume-Art

This is a very ambitious statue and one very well designed and executed. The prime focus is obviously the spirits, it's one of the best executions I've seen of translucent look but the body is amazing as well, it looks metallic, weighs a ton. The face and hair are very well done as well and the hand beads look lovely.
The statue comes with 2 heads (eyes open and closed) by I always pictured Shaka with his eyes closed so I didn't try the other head. Also to change heads you have to remove the spirits which I would rather not have to do so I wouldn't call this a switch-head-on-a-whim type of statue.
The thing that Tsume excels at is packaging. The shipper has designs, the box looks like a Myth Cloth (and it's so freaking huge it's like it's life sized!), there are layers of hard foam between the shipper and the actual box, the styrofoam is wrapped in a nice black bow and let me tell you that unwrapping the spirits with all the protection it had was stressful! The one detriment to this regarding the spirits is that it's impossible to repack so I pray I never move or sell it!
Sadly the outstanding packaging couldn't prevent a trip from overseas and 3 UPS attempts (I was also hit with my first custom fee :/)from damaging the statue and one of the bead lines that wrap around the base is broken. It should, however, be an easy fix.
All in all a very impressive statue and I can't wait for the next Saint Seiya they make.

Alien Big Chap Legendary Scale Bust 388/750 - Sideshow

My first bust! My only bust (likely)!
I've always been an Alien fan so when they showed this at SDCC I knew I had to have it and I love it. The detail in the sculpt is amazing, the clear dome and spine look outstanding. One thing I particularly like is that it's a sturdy 1-piece 'statue', no parts, no assembly, just a real proper sculpting job.
The only glaring flaw, and I can see the forums lighting up here, is the teeth. We all saw the change coming and I doubt many of us expected Sideshow to change it to chrome but even the silver paint execution is sloppy. Really not great on that front.
However for me it's the only flaw and I love this piece so I'll live with it.
Also don't know about you guys but my unpacking was styrofoam magnet hell!
Big Chap will be the only piece going in my Home Theater along with the Hot Toys Batmobile.

Beastman Exclusive 1:4 Statue 32/200 - Pop Culture Shock

Well ****..... he came out perfect.
So here's the deal, I'm severely out of room and have cut back a lot (I need to sell a bunch) so after I received my He-Man and he had some issues (and I couldn't get a replacement :( ) I decided to only have He-Man and Skeletor when he would be announced but I had already pre-ordered Beastman in full so I couldn't cancel. Hence I was looking for any flaw/reason to return it for a refund.
That failed miserably. He's perfect, nothing broken, great paint and even smallish box.... which means I'm not returning him. I really like the right hand for some reason :)
I still don't plan to keep him in the long run and I'm sad that Beastman that I don't plan to keep came perfect when He-Man that I LOVE has flaws...
Pictures will show what I mean by perfect but if anyone missed out on the EX let me know because I will sell him.
