My first Bond at the cinema was Live and Let Die, and I’ve always had a soft spot for it.
I remember watching Dr No on tv, and I guess that was my introduction to Bond.
So, worst....
Connery: I have to go along with Diamonds. It’s got a totally ridiculous plot that makes no sense at all. It’s still fun in parts though.
Moore: I think I’m becoming a sheep.. Octopussy. It’s just full of really stupid stuff, but all the time trying to be straight.
Dalton: I prefer Living Daylights to License , but I can’t really say that either are bad.
Brosnan: Die Anither Day. Terrible movie. Can’t believe they actually released it in the state it was in.
Craig: Quantum. Another terrible movie.

Now, what about soundtracks. Back in the day, I had them all on vinyl.
Started with TSWLM. Bought that and Star Wars on the same day.
Now they’re all on CD, except my red vinyl copy of Dr No.

Might as well play best/ Favorite

1) Connery - Goldfinger
2) Lazenby - Obviously...
3) Moore - The Spy Who Loved Me
4) Dalton - License to Kill
5) Brosnan - Goldeneye
6) Craig - Casino Royale

Without a doubt. I think most everyone would agree on those as each actor's best Bond movie.

It's funny, I swing a little more fanciful with my Connery Bonds. It took me some time to appreciate FRWL and Dr. No in my teens as I preferred the follow-ups to Goldfinger and the action, locales and crazy gadgets and villains of Thunderball and YOLT. I think after Shaw played Quint, I came around to FRWL more. I've come to really love it in later years -- its the roughest and rawest of the Connery Bonds.

My Holy Trinity is still Goldfinger, Thunderball and You Only Live Twice though.

I think Christopher Nolan would make a fantastic Bond movie as he prefers shooting in camera, as opposed to CGI and green screens. He would use huge sets, full size props and miniatures, much like the best classic Bond movies. It's been a while since we saw a huge gun battle involving hundreds of extras for the finale.

I also wish they would use the 007 theme again. Last time we heard it was the boat chase in Moonraker.

BTW... hopefully the guys who were originally interested in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME Tuxedo project are still interested because, if so, that means we're up to 12... that's better than halfway there.

I’d have to ageee that I’m in the “No Nolan” camp.

I enjoy his movies but do find them a bit cold and tiring. I think the new direction of Bond since casino has the grit and realism down and to counter that it needs just a bit of warmth and charm which is why I think people reacted to skyfall so well.

I also feel that Skyfall feels a bit Nolan esq in plot already too. There is a common villain but the stakes seem a little more global in a way that still feels personal also.

I think James mangold would make a nice bond director I was hoping he’d slide in after Danny Boyle exited the latest one.

It’s looking more and more like it could be the hell or high water guy... which worries me a bit as his last flick seems to be a bomb and all his movies feel a tad slow to me. I laughed all the way though Hell or High water. I couldn’t take it seriously.

Guys

What is the verdict on the DID set ?

I am debating if I need 2 R/M Bond now that
Big Chief has one coming out soon.

But then we all know what happen to the Connery
suit with Big Chief.

Moore was a good Bond but I think he was a bit
more Campy than say Sean or Daniel.

Can’t resist any longer and must get Roger :)

How much is it likely to cost?
That tux would be perfect for my DID Moore Bond to paid him with Jaws when Big Chief get around to making him.

My favorite Bond Movies are Goldfinger, Licence to Kill, For Your Eyes Only and Goldeneye. Like them all to varying degrees and Have them all on blu ray and do a marathon every year. Worst ones to me are Octopussy and the last couple of Brosnan's movies. It's too bad because I think he could have been a great Bond after starting with Goldeneye.

I am still waiting on the second batch to arrive at KG hobby.:impatient:

I think there will be loose heads but not for a few months. Why I got the full figure is I want to know I have the best of the best of the spy outfit and I'm not sure that big chief will top DID on a few things. I plan to sell off all the parts I like less

I didn't really care for either outfit with the DID set, so bought a white suit off ebay. I believe it was intended for a custom Scarface figure, as it comes with a red shirt. I took the trousers and paired it with a Navy jacket, blue tie and white shirt (should be striped, but can't find one for male figures) to create his TSWLM Sardinia outfit.

I took the white jacket and paired it with the existing white shirt and black trousers. The bow tie was borrowed from the DID Brosnan figure.
