I love SS LSB's, and very much like the Batman 1:2 scale D.C. Direct Busts. The paint app for Catwoman was weak, BUT I loved the glossy head piece and vinyl fabric concealing a "Hefty" Bust. SO...to remedy my problem I contacted my pal Mike James to customize Selina Kyle to my specifications. Here's a before and after to compare the two.
What do you think?
BTW, I asked him to "whore" her up as much as possible.

too much whore imo.

You shouldn't have said "whore" that gives him free reign to do what he wants,"Classy Escort" would have worked better.:p

Too much eye make up. People think she's a whore.

Well, I'll offer a positive comment. It looks so, so much better than the original.

Congratulations!

I fully expected the "Too Much" response...that's EXACTLY what I was looking for in the remodel.
I like the Hooker Catwoman, and that's pretty much what I now have. Here's a number of different angles to enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback.

Obviously it has a lot of make-up, but the eyes are also a bit cartoonish. I like it better than the original though, although it does have a dude in make-up vibe.

it's very well painted, but like every one else has said, it's overboard. and yeah, it looks kinda like a dude in make-up. personally though, my biggest hangup is that the eyes look like they're looking in different directions...

You know, I love it! The entire face's been changed or should I say resculpted. This is one major rework on the face!

Too much? Too much what? Catwoman is after all pretty _____y a character so the make-up's perfect on this one! Those who said its too much probably mistaken Catwoman for Wonder Woman!:lol

I saw a couple of others who tried to improved on the look with this bust but failed because a new lipstick and some new drawn on eye make up won't save it from being butt ugly!

So, I say the resculpting, painting and make-up's perfect and beautiful! I love the new face!

Thanks for sharing!

Balent's Catwoman RULES.

I was doing some freelance at DC when Balent got kicked to the curb just short of completing a 100 issue run on the title, so I was privy to some "inside baseball." What happened was definitely not fair to him, especially when their fair-haired boy, Darwin Cooke, redesigned the character, got the book relaunched, and then turned a DC fan favorite into a struggling title.

Hey, I love some of his work, but "Goggles Woman" is a far cry from NEW FRONTIER

Cool insight TBP, not to derail this thread but I don't like Selina nowadays. She is so tormented now, really dark. She was a fun character that ran between the villain and hero line and was a female Yang to Batman's Ying. I love Balent's and Duffy's run.

I agree with the comments that it looks kinda like a dude in Drag, but it's better than the original... :lol
