Can a Hot Toys DX12 body be shorten to make a custom Robin figure?

I'm going to be doing a custom Robin figure and I want to shorten the legs by at least 1" for the figure from a Hot Toys DX12 Dark Knight Rises figure.Can this be done and how do I do it and will the boot still fit on the figure?Thanks for any help that you can give me.

I'm wanting to do something similar. I was also needing to know if the body could be shortened or if there was a shorter body that would otherwise fit the DX12 bat suit. I'm only looking for a half inch shorter tops. Thanks!
