I got home today from a pleasant day at work to find a parcel for Monkeybat! ow goodie I thought he has cast the binos. and yes indeed he had.. but.... there was more... much more.... lots of little heads!!!!!!!!

One of which was Tarkins.

Now I have no idea where Steve got it from but I took a mould straight away whilst cooking the family tea I was so excited. I cast it in plaster resin as it needed a little work to clean it up.... and here is the result so far....

looks great to me. i have very little experience so really can't say this for certain, but maybe the only thing would be to thin the paint a little bit more so its not so textured. but on the other hand the texture could give it realism.

Well done, the close up photo hold up well! I really hope sideshow does Tarkin in the near future, but I'd happily put this one in my collection as well.

yeah I put the paint on in really thin layers but then dry brushed it with a light colour which picked up all the texture....

Practice makes perfect.... :)
