I'm wondering if a little alcohol would remove a bit of the "green" wash... As it removed the droids' weathering washes?

I'm sorry, kids, but I have to disagree with you all about the sculpt on this re-issue.If anything,it looks like the "Clone Wars"version of the character, and the color is way too dark and green. The V.1 is much better, and I'll stick with my modded GG sculpt on my custom, thank you. A bit of advice for you, kids;just because it's new doesn't mean it's better...PS

i agree... the original release is more screen accurate and the new one is very much Clone Wars inspired... personally, i just want the coolest representation of each character i can get... i have the original, but if the production the new one matches the proto, "screen accuracy" be damned....

Personally I think the new sculpt looks much closer to screen accuracy but thats just like my opinion man. Fantastic comparison by the way TonTon.

The onscreen color is more of a brown with a slight greenish tan mixed in. The V.1 always seems light mustard yellow to me in nearly all the pics I've seen. But as we know, what SSC shows paint-wise on V.2 and what actually turns up in-hand are totally different things.

And you can see in TonTon's pics there that the V.2 head seems a little narrow compared to onscreen, but it may just be lens distortion, and also hot water might widen it if it does turn out like that.

I also noticed that this is yet another re-release that has 12 month + lead time. I really wish SSC would just hold back announcing meh stuff like re-releases until it's only a 4-6 month wait. There's something a little pathetic about pulling value from the original release (even non-EX stuff like the IG light-up stand,) charging more, and then forcing people to wait over a year to receive it.

Skin looks fine on the new one to me... Only thing I would change on the sculpt is making the red in the eyes a bit closer to orange and it will be nearly perfect.

Also, I forgot V1 had an exclusive version with an open mouth sculpt... It would have been cool for them to make a newer version of that too, because the first one is awful looking. But I don't remember ever seeing him open his mouth that wide.

That image of the V1 Bossk gives a slightly different impression of the head sculpt than the actual figure does in hand. There might be some slight distortion going on there.
Here's an image from Michael Crawford that shows the V1 sculpt more accurately:

The V2 head sculpt does look more accurate, but I'm still quite happy with mine. There's not a big enough difference for me to trade up on a third tier character.
I'm happy for all those that missed out on the first one. Now I just have to find the money to buy IG-88. :(

They all look like Bossk to me but then again I have the V1 so I'm trying to talk myself out of trading up. That picture is making it hard to resist. Must...RESIST........!!!!

Some good points made here but of all the rereleases bossk coming with the new sculpt probably bothers me the least.

I wouldn't blame anyone for sticking with the original, or even for liking it better. But I can't see how anyone could claim v1 is more screen accurate.

Sucks big time to be you. Wth is your government doing to you guys?

The Canadian government **** us! For me it's an extra $40 in Canadian brokerage fees plus currency conversions!
Sideshow hates Canadians!

Damn bro, an extra $40! Socialism sucks. Nothing is free. Money has to come from somewhere unfortunately.

Issues with out new government aside, the problem here is fed ex and their extortionist shipping fees, particularly their brokerage and handling fees. I buy a lot of different products (and far more expensive than collectables) from the states and Sideshow and QMx are the only companies that insist on fed Ex for shipping to Canada. I don't understand why they can't figure out how to ship via usps with tracking...

Oh well.... sometimes you gotta dance with the the devil to get an exclusive... That's life I guess.

A rep at SSC once told me that fedex ships faster and gives them better rates. USPS is more costly. They also said their $25 off coupons are to help international customers with extra costs. I guess that's true if you're interested in buying SS's older stock.
