Re: Palpatine Image Thread

I don't think it's necroposting if it's a photo thread. Not everyone takes pictures at the same time.

Re: Palpatine Image Thread

Yup I used to worry about necroing a thread with my late photos (UK freak) but always ALWAYS bring on more pics! And might as well add them to an existing thread than start a new one. A thread like this one click meh would be great for all photo threads but discussing, giving praise and nit picking etc will always happen :D

Re: Palpatine Image Thread

I started a little customizing on my palpatine as well. Only started with the outter robe for now , plan to do the inner one soon. Also planning a repaint.

:horror :emperor

Re: Palpatine Image Thread

Sorry for the necroposting (and without pics to boot!), but I just received my Palpatine/Emperor two-pack from fellow board member Ragacin, and I'm quite pleased with the set.
They do look a bit bland to be honest, but nothing I wasn't expecting (reason I cancelled them way back when).
Will peruse this thread to see how the pros futzed and customized these two. :D

I've always been surprised that this set (even the exclusive) is so often sold for way below retail. I love my Palps 2 pack; and can't wait to add the third :rock

Me neither. This is one of those pieces that will never go on selling block.

Palpatine himself is one of the nicest and more interesting costumes I have in my figure collection, not just Star Wars, they really did a nice job, a variet of textures in the costum, a nice fit. The only thing I did with mine is add some padding to the shoulders to puff them out a bit more.

Palpatine is one of Sideshows best sculpts and paint. Especially when compared to some of their subpar early SW offerings.

Never posted pics of my Ep. III Emperor, so I thought I'd necropost a bit...

BTW, how did you guys go about fastening or securing the clasp on the Emperor's robe?

While I'm taking shots of the new Emperor figure, I re-visited the earlier version of Palpatine...

"Are you going to kill me?"

"I would certainly like to."

A good figure in either era...

I agree. This set was fantastic. The sculpts were great on both, as were the outfits. The two-pack was also under $100 bucks. Ah, the good old days... (just 2 years ago...) :monkey2
