I love that the scene was apparently loosely inspired by the 66 episode "Pop Goes the Joker", Where he is outrageously recognized by the art world for his genius.

He's one of those in-everything actors I'll admit I never bothered to learn his name, only knew him as Frog or that Repo Man guy, who instantly took me out of a movie or TV show, as I tried to place him, yet loved it whenever he showed up.

Just never bring him to a fight.

Apparently there was a whole unused scene shot where Bob does fight Batman.
Who knew in some alt universe Bob lived up to being the total Badass he thought he was!



They likely felt one blade fight was enough, Bob was never going to measure up.
I like how he's using the gauntlet spikes somewhat informing what we would later see in TDK


Scene made it on to the official released trading cards.

If they ever release the figure, now I guess some can stage Bob as a badass going mano-a-mano with Batman.
Though these shots don't ring true to the character for me, I feel like that is the "story" he just told the other goons is how it went down.

I tend to view Bob's tactical retreat as another of his Machiavellian stratagems

The scene with Batman and Bob fighting was filmed. Keaton is there on set, fighting. Same thing with the the little girl “Is it Halloween” from the same alley scene.

During post production, they did reshoots at pinewood studio and brought in a stunt double to fight grandmaster Sken Kaewpadung in order to make the fight scene more grandiose. It really is identical to the original Bob scene, Batman is still going up against knives and deflecting the slashes with his gauntlets and boots, it’s just made bigger. I prefer what we ended up with. Bob knows he doesn’t have a chance, whereas in the original scene, he gets his ass kicked.

Yeah. Bob running makes the whole scene.
