Surprised by everyone here saying the face sculpt is perfect. I’m more with the Facebook users on Blitzway’s page saying it’s a fair way off. Lee’s face was longer IMO

I agree but Bruce lee kind of had two different faces in his films. His earlier films when he was not as thin and the later films like above.

This shot from his earlier work looks more like the statue. Which I think looks like what maybe the sculptor had in mind.

Now granted... IF you are going to sculpt a screen/movie/picture specific piece then it should look like that.

^ Good post. Game of Death is arguably Lee's most iconic outfit, but when I think of the actor, I imagine slightly softer features. The original sculpt made this statue the best of both worlds for someone who simply wants a recognizable Bruce, scene-specific accuracy be damned.

* I say scene-specific because he doesn't even look like that photo in all of Game of Death.

I agree!
That's why I'm hoping they don't change much, hopefully not changing anything at all!

Totally agreed as well. We should make sure our voices are heard before their facebook comments get flooded by negative remarks from people who won't order the piece anyway.

If they can keep that quality on the releases version,it's going to look great.moving eyes is suprising but will give various placement for posing(interesting they have moved to resin as apposed to the previous vinyl sculpts) looking forward to this

Is resin superior to pvc in all aspects?

I’m under the impression resin is a more expensive material but was not sure the pros and cons of each material (resin vs pvc).

all the previous BL statues from blitzway had vinyl sculpts(cheaper and easier to paint),so using resin is a suprise as is the moving eye system, which means the hair piece will be removable also(another first)

Rooted hair version.

Blitzway said:
"This figure is a beautiful testament to 50 years of my father’s legacy! Thank you to Blitzway for this superlative tribute!”
-Shannon Lee-

After the release of the standard version last season, we're excited to introduce the Bruce Lee 50th Anniversary Special Statue in the rooted hair version.

Crafted to mark the 50th anniversary of his passing, this "Bruce Lee 50th Anniversary Special Statue" is inspired by iconic martial arts scenes from his films.

With dynamic poses reflecting Bruce Lee's distinctive martial arts prowess, intricately sculpted facial expressions, and his iconic yellow jumpsuit, paired with authentic nunchaku accessories, Blitzway has faithfully captured his essence in this special statue.

Both the standard and rooted-hair versions possess their own unique allure, so be sure to explore their individual charms in detail through the official photos.
Moreover, both versions feature resin heads for enhanced realism and intricate detail.

Blitzway has also introduced a new eye insertion method for more lifelike eye expression upgrades starting from these two products.

In honor of Bruce Lee's 50th anniversary, we extend our tribute to all collectors who continue to celebrate his enduring legacy.

Experience the unparalleled attention to detail firsthand!

Love it. I’m in for this.

Saw this on Facebook which compares the updated face sculpt. Much better than the original!

I like it.
Here my local supplier opens pre-order for $1200. That's more than double the price of the sculpted hair..
And with the rooted hair as the only significant change, I think I will just keep my sculpted hair preorder..

Does anyone know what the differences were between the two version of the 50th anniversary bruce lee statue. I know one has rooted hair but are there any other differences? One is $500 and the other is $1000 so I assume there are more differences but maybe not
