Hope they don't stick with the mixed media hair. Very surprised to see that. Obviously full rooted would be best but full sculpted with interchangeable hair strand pieces if executed right could allow for multiple hairstyles (Long stands down the front like now or long braid down the back).

I don’t think that’d work or be accurate as Daenerys wasn’t wearing another full on outfit underneath the white coat. That’s just not how it works… lol. She’d be sweltering. Not only that, but if we’re assuming she’d be wearing another outfit, say the leather outfit she wears in the final 2 episodes, her hairstyle and makeup are different.

Hate to be a downer but this is strictly S8x01-03 Winterfell Daenerys.

Maybe she's got one of her sexy slave outfits on underneath for private time.

I think you guys are underestimating how hard that hair is going to be to make fully rooted. Those braids will not be easy to recreate in rooted form, nevermind mass produce. If they sell 2,500 of this figure, it's going to take forever for the figure to release, and delay a lot of their other projects as collateral damage.

I get the mixed hair isn't a preferred look for most. It's very possible what we're seeing is just the standard edition of the figure, but InArt might be getting in over their heads trying to make thousands of figures with that kind of intricate hair.

The outfit does not, imo. It’s a good start but it lacks a lot of detail in comparison to the real deal..

From what I can see, the ridges down the center area should be thicker white fur. Overall, it needs to convey that it is made out of animal fur. The red lining and striations down her sides should be tighter. The shade of red is supposed to be darker/deeper. They ought to give her gloves-she always wears gloves with this outfit. The fur piece on her right shoulder should look like fur and not cotton stuffing. The tie/scarf should be a silky scarf material and be more prominent and not as recessed as it is. Missing the metal “dragon scales” accent pieces on the shoulders. Missing fur lining on the shoulders.

I understand this is not everyone’s preferred choice in outfit (I would’ve preferred S3/S4 blue dress first) but if INART is going to be proceeding with this costume design, I guess I’d just like to start the discussion and hopefully in time see them optimize the outfit as it’s way too bland and I think it can be considerably improved upon.

I'm not really invested in any GOT 1/6 but noticing all those details make this costume more intricate and possibly a bigger task for IA to tackle. Getting it right to the most minute detail will be damn impressive. Send it to their FB page or email or whatever. If it's too much maybe they'll opt for another costume.

This has been my sentiment as well. I think Justin’s comments were more wishful thinking than any inside knowledge, which has unfortunately caused others to think the same. I own the Game of Thrones costume book that gives an in-depth view on all the costumes and there’s no mention or hint at any of her other costumes being underneath that coat. That coat IS the costume. Ultimately I think the best proof is the hairstyle like you mentioned above - they’re going for accuracy. With the exception of that pattern on Gandalfs inner robe, they’ve seem to be set on being as accurate as possible, even on stuff we never see in the film and/or up close.

Never liked the mixed media hair. I understand the complexity involved in her hair style but if that's the case, I would prefer fully sculpted if they can't recreate the "do" with faux hair.

Dany is the only figure that I'm waiting for, to complete my GOT collection but I'm not sure I would be willing to spend InArt prices for this one...

I'm not a big fan of mixed media hair, but I will say it tends to look better (or less noticeable) on figures with dark hair. Asmus did a decent job with Elrond and with Arwen in her riding outfit and some of the later 3Z GoT figures like Arya and Sansa look okay. But any of the blonde or lighter haired figures really show the problems with matching the color and sheen of the two different materials. The lighter the color, the more the difference jumps out at you.

It's not what i want for Dany!
I hate this version of the end of the serie, it's not the Daenerys i like and i don't think i'm the only one :slap

I don't like this clothes, and her HS... what is this expression and her ugly sculpted/rooted hair??

For now it's a fail for me, there are so many outfits.... why choose this one?

And for the HS we need a soft expression, wich show the true Daenerys we had in 90% of the serie

I was hoping for a Dany like this, which is the best i ever seen... but InArt's choices are incomprehensible

Yeah, depending on the final prototype and final price I may go with an overhauled 3Z figure, that sculpt has a lot of beauty in it with a fresh paint job.

Only reason ive been holding back is I was 100% certain InArt would do that look or one from a similar time.

I honestly think with characters with soooooo many costumes like Dany, InArt should've held a poll to gauge the most popular and wanted looks would be. Almost certain her winter look wouldn't even be top 5.

I wonder if it is just padding or a "fat-suit" underneath the white outfit.

Personally, I love the coat. Not just on the figure, I really dug it on the show. Definitely up there as one of my favorite looks of hers. And while I get that it may not be everybody's favorite, I really don't understand why so many people passionately hate it. Like ... it seems to make people actively angry.

This white coat is also one of my favorite Daenerys outfits (specifically Season 7, but I also like this InArt Season 8 variant).

I hope InArt releases several Dany figures - I will collect them all.

Heard a few folks discussing how Threezero apparently may have lost the license for GoT outright… really hope that’s not the case. Their figures had their issues, mostly forgiven due to the price point, but if this is going to be the only Daenerys around, it would be extremely disappointing

I wonder if Season 8 was actually well received in China/their markets because if so, the Winterfell white coat would definitely be considered iconic in the grand scheme of things. The suit’s importance within the story as she wore that outfit during “key” (arguably, maybe) Winterfell scenes: arriving to Winterfell, romantic scenes with Jon, when they were in the crypt at Lyanna’s tomb for Jon’s identity reveal, and during the Battle of Winterfell. Regardless of how well executed it all was, I mean, still pretty important/relevant lol.

The costume design is actually beautiful imo, and I really like it (initial InArt prototype isn’t doing it any favors though). The fact that Daenerys wore that winter suit in the North, but still sticking out like a sore thumb because that’s not at all how Northerners dress..

You also have to consider the copious amount of promotional material of Emilia wearing that outfit for when Season 8 came out as well.

Despite Game of Thrones being my favorite franchise, right behind Star Wars (mostly out of nostalgia now) I never picked up their pieces because I thought their sculpts were soft and some of the tailoring (particularly the cloaks) never looked right to me. That said, the other day Justin’s Collection did a ThreeZero office tour and this was on display and I love it. The representative seemed either a little shy or didn’t want to reveal too much, but his comments made it sound like it’s 50/50 if they’d release this Robb Stark.

I love this character and I think they’ve done a great job (except for the cloak), especially with that head sculpt. If they do release this I’d probably make this my first GoT ThreeZero purchase because I don’t believe InArt will go too deep with their GoT line. And despite Robb being an important character, I imagine there are at least 8 or more characters that InArt would prioritize before Robb.

Thanks for reminding me that the Dany I already have which is the one you shared is better than the inert figure haha.

I thought something was off with the inert and the Dany in the pics is in storage at the moment. And Now I know why.

Honestly it is pretty sad that the FIRST Threezero head is presenting stronger than the new inert

Sculpt needs a lot of work. Likeness isn't there yet and she looks sad and depressed. Not a fan of the outfit either.

But I do have faith in Inart, they do listen to feedback. Their Aragorn changed from ugly duck to swan, imo.
