Hot Toys x Obi-Wan Kenobi - "Purge Trooper" - 1/6 Collectible Figure

I think it’ll look better in hand, but it is a little Disney-engineered tho. Always was.

I like it,no matter what others think. Funny how some describe it as cartoonish,when the beehive version of it never showed up in a real life movie as well,but people ask for it.

Doesn’t matter, the design just looks way better overall.

I actually like the design. Their utilization in the show, however, was subpar. These could have been a legitimate threat but were reduced to fodder and to drive merchandise sales. I may pick up a couple eventually, I think they’d look cool flanking Vader or with Death / Dark Troopers.

Yeah but the Airborne Clone helmet did show up in live action. CGI, but still. That helmet design has fans and its own following.

But appearance is not really the only reason we want the Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor Purge Trooper.

Purge Troopers in the games are awesome and cool opponents to fight. Purge Troopers in Kenobi did nothing except die.

Much like they failed in their role of purging Jedi in the show, they failed to really do the latter as well because there was barely any merchandise of them.

The Hot Toys figure, a couple of smaller scale statues and Hasbro figures. T-shirts and a Funko Pop I guess?

If you can’t kill Jedi or sell merchandise, what good are you to the Empire, Galactic or Disney?

I don’t hate the design overall or anything. And I still think it’ll look cool on display with other Imperials. But I don’t know if it’s worth the price of having multiple and it’s hard to just have one.

Don’t blame the trooper,blame KK ;-) And the patrol trooper in Solo didn’t do much as well,yet people wanted that one as well. It’s personal taste,so,I like it,I buy it.

I preordered this and regretted it soon after as I hated the OWK show and this trooper was hopeless in it, but think it’ll look really good in a display. Early signs are it’s produced in very small numbers too.

I think both this Purge Trooper and the Fallen Order one are awesome designs....so I am exciting that HT made this one, and yes would hope they made the other design as well.

I didn’t mind Obi-Wan Kenobi but the Purge Trooper isn’t that impressive. I thought maybe I’d come around on it but it just doesn’t do much for me.

Doesn't look terrible but still not feeling it. Still don't know; difficult because I rarely skip troopers. Not counting ST, the only ones I've passed on are the BF Jumptrooper, BF Imperial Shock Trooper, and Hot Toys originals like chrome and porcelain.

I could maybe potentially justify one, but it's weird not having troopers in at least pairs. I guess he could lead some Stormtroopers.

I wish they'd announce JFO/JS Purge Troopers.

@MyenShi this is one that is gonna look better in hand. Same as like say the Chrome Stormy. Unfortunately we don’t have much history with these guys and they must’ve went to the school of Capt Phasma in so far as their onscreen action

Unfortunately looking better in hand doesn’t fix their role in the show.

As with some others, I’m at a point where it’s hard to make space for figures I’m not 100%+ excited about.

It’s hard to justify, especially when a better version of them exists in universe.

Sign of the times...a figure not a lot of people are excited about hits waitlist.

Yeah but as soon as it hits waitlist half of those people suddenly want it.

Nobody needs it. HT produces lower numbers. Sold out. Everybody needs it. Price skyrockets.

Same trooper appears 2 years later, HT produces it in larger numbers thinking there is high demand, nobody buys it - ends up in bargain bin.

Hot Toys cycle of life.

It’s a meh. I’ll take the pauldron and the gun tho
