Thanks for the recommendations guys, will give it a go from mid way of the 1st series and stomach the bad parts. Seeing Cadd Bane and Cob Vanth in TBOBF (and I'm assuming Thrawn at some point) did nothing for me as reveals as I know nothing about them, see I'd like to get invested in the lore.

No problem.

Corn Cobb is from the Aftermath book series they published as a bridge to the ST.

They brought back Thrawn in Rebels, another good animated series with a weak first season.

Cad Bane barely did anything in TBOBF so you didn’t really miss out on much. He’s not a favorite of mine personally but TCW made him a fan favorite.

And I call myself a Star Wars fan 😂

I'd love if they went in on a TCW line. There really is a lot to pull from as others have said. Ventress would be an ideal figure that would sell incredibly well, but now that they did this Sidious, I NEED a Savage. I mean, I always needed a Hot Toys Savage, but now I NEED a Hot Toys Savage 😂

Tried to match the size but you get the idea.

I think the outfit is too big but it looks pretty cool. At least to do battle with the upcoming Mace Windu.

I also need a phase 1 Rex. Phase 2 is nice but he spent most of the show in his phase 1 helmet.

I want Phase 1 Rex as well but he spends similar time in both sets of armors, as Phase 1 was Season 1-3, Phase 2 was Season 4-7, with Rex showing up a few times in his Phase 2 armor in TBB as well.

I totally disagree with advice to skip seasons 1 and 2. Sure they are weaker than later seasons, but there are some great episodes in there. But more importantly they set the baseline for where the characters start. This is especially important for Ahsoka, Rex (all the named clones really), and other new characters to truly appreciate their full arcs and the depth of character development and growth. This is what makes TCW so damn good (and Rebels).

As to figures, I'm happy for Hot Toys to go all in so we can get the real Cad Bane along with Hondo and Savage Opress. They would be at the top of my list for TCW figures. I'd also love a season 3-5 Ahsoka to pair with the Anakin and Obi-wan they have already done. I've really slowed down on Hot Toys in recent years but this line is sucking me back in. God help me if they do Rebels as I'd need the whole crew.

I get what you’re saying, but the advice given was within a certain context. There’s no disagreeing that the early seasons contribute to the character’s backstories, but it’s a moot point if someone can’t get through them to watch the rest of the show.

Which is why I say they should go back and watch those early episodes later once they’re invested in the characters. Even if they don’t, the later arcs and character development can still be appreciated on their own merits.

The advice to skip early season is mainly for folks who struggle to get into the show because the movie and first seasons have turned into an almost impassable barrier. There are many who still turn their noses at the show because the shallowness and lower production value of the early seasons are all they know.

It’s not a method for everyone and if someone is the type to watch everything, they will. But this alternate method has worked for others and shouldn’t be dismissed outright as it can help turn holdouts into fans of the show.

I'm hoping this confirms we get a Savage Oppress. They specifically did Sidious from THAT scene. I grabbed Maul as soon as Sidious was announced. Just in case...

I still enjoy the Clone Wars movie

In 7 seasons, you get some filler episodes, but they have some amazing episodes that might just blow your mind.

I don’t think the movie or episodes are entirely in chronological order, so you could look that up and do that order.

I personally watched the movie and then seasons one through seven as they came

Yeah but they didn’t even tease a second lightsaber coming into the frame or anything, and they gave Maul the wrong saber for the photos, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up even though I desperately want a Savage.
