There’s a lot of references where the bottom of the neck appears to be more rounded than the shot here.


I went with a more rounded look for mine too. I think what’s clear though is that center piece of the neck is pretty thin and clings tightly to the undersuit. All these companies make it much thicker than it should be.

I think the issues I have with this statute are mostly minor, the biggest minor one is that every single surface seems too crisp and geometric with no rounding to any of the edges. The real suit has angular designs with softened edges. This statue looks like an F117 while the real suit looks like an F22 is the only way I can describe it. They could have just ran a smooth brush over all the edges and made it look so much more realistic.

I think what’s a more major issue is the gigantic eye openings with too sharp of a ridge beneath and the wide eyed expression. This combined with the center of the cowl’s face being too short makes it look like his eyes are being peeled open and gives him a vulture sort of look, much like the QS001.

Edit: the collar Kevlar is WAY too geometric and the cape still exits the collar too far from the midline just like the QS001

I think they should have done a pose like this, not just boring facing forward. Looks more artistic and interesting to me

I agree. Whilst I'm still excited to get this, I always thought the pose was a little dull. I like what they done for Battinson, they should have used that pose on this.

You'd think these statue makers could find a way to make the head angle adjustable. I know it would make a bit more work and possible costs but I'd find that a big selling point. I don't want action figure levels of articulation, just the ability to change the head angle sometimes.

Like on the recent fabok batman on the roof, it has about 5 different heads all very similar, just different directions. But yeah I know that's polystone so understandable... on this bale they could pull it off

For this price, I expect something very close to perfection. But I'm simply not seeing it.

Is it better than Queen? Not $2k more, that is for damn sure. I still see that Asian cowl that plagues every single Bale TDK/TDKR cowl ever made that comes from Asia.

Value is subjective because this version trumps the QS version for me. At least the cowled portrait mouth area on the JND piece attempts to look like Bale. Moreover, the belt is the correct color. So for those reasons alone, it’s worth the higher price tag to me. Until the next and better 1/3 scale Bale Batman hits the market that is lol

Everyone will justify their purchase in some way. I'm OK with my good enough Queen statue.

I get nothing is ever perfect, but at that price point, I would not be OK with a bit better than good enough.

Unfortunately that would have driven up the cost a lot, as the only way I could see it working is with swap out necks or something like Prime 1 did on theirs.

Above pic looks like a blown up DX12 headsculpt.

I mean, their Battinson? I can see how it is a better product than the Queen one. No doubt.

Thanks for this riveting contribution to the thread.

I sold my QS the week this one was revealed it’s okay for some of you to admit the JND is more accurate (like I had to come to terms with) and/or out of your budget. All will be fine.

Ahh, that didn't take long. The "you probably can't afford it" as a response to criticism for an overpriced statue that looks marginally better than a HT figure.

Tell me you’re begrudgingly holding onto the QS without telling me you’re begrudgingly holding onto the QS. Comparing a 1/3 scale statue to a 12 inch hot toys figure is all I need to know about your credibility and intentions here. Peace

And who in the blue **** is this supposed to be? Certainly not Christian Bale. Grabbed this pic from a Facebook group. Looks comparable to a botched McFarlane Toys likeness attempt. But please stay roaming this thread

This does look like a better Hot Toys, it’s literally designed by the same person who designed the QS001 and a lot of the issues with it are present to a lesser severity with this. It definitely beats the other statues in realism and is marginally more accurate but still far from truly accurate. It’s very stylized and way too crisp. People may like that, but it’s not accurate. The real suit doesn’t look like line art.
